United Scientific GLP3X2-P Glass Streak Plate, 3" Height X 2" Width X 1/4" Thick (Pack of 10)

I ordered these for a middle school geology class. They were well wrapped and packed and arrived in perfect condition. They are a good sturdy thickness and size with smooth edges and good for the tweens.

I was asked to present a program on rocks and minerals. Whenever I had done this before I had access to glass scratch plares and streak plates and HCl to demonstrate how to test minerals.. But now I needed to buy my own. These worked fine and arrived intact. Don't know why they are labeled glass streak plates. They are glass scratch plates.

Came well packed and they’re good quality. Bought them for my mineralogy course and I’ve used the same plate for the last couple months. No complaints if you like a thicker plate.

Probably not for it's intended purpose but they're perfect for keeping butterfly and insect wings pressed flat into positions and the sanded edges of the glass slides prevents the specimens and my fingers from getting cut.

It's a 1/4" think glass plate, so it is very durable for all my testing

I should’ve realized the size but worked great for practicing my engraving projects.

Quality streak plate

Used these to help with my hobby of butterfly spreading. They are the perfect weight and love the fact I could see through the glass to make sure the position of the wings were perfect. Great quality!
