I use split shot for both fresh and salt water fishing, and I'm a big fan of these Water Gremlin assortments. The kit itself is compact, so it fits conveniently in to any of my tackle boxes. It's also sturdy enough not to break with normal wear and tear, so no more cascade of loose split shot rolling around. The variety of sizes let's me find what I need for almost any application. These splitshot are easy to put on and take off thanks to the tabs (true, they catch grass and seaweed, but that's generally true for non-tabbed split shot too). And most importantly, these stay in place when properly crimped: I wrap the line around once and crimp with pliers (I don't use my teeth ;)

Good to have to add weight quickly. The only thing I don't like is the back has two small projections for taking them off the line that constantly get caught in weeds or even the leader line.That is the basic design flaw of this kind of sinker.There are a nice variety of weights and hook to the line very quickly and are removed reasonably well with a fingernail to pry them open. Wrap the line around them a few times then clamp shut and the won't move or come off.They should last a very long time.

This pack of split shots have continuously impressed me. A solid value and easy to use product. Most removable split shots will deform heavily and really not be able to be reused. This product has a solid balance between ease of use and durability. I would definitely purchase again once all the steel heads (read rocks) drag away my lines.One particular good point is that the case it comes with seems to hold up well. I am not TOO careful with my stuff and often have hinges bust on me. So far it's been holding up well to wear and tear!

BEWARE SUPER TINY WEIGHTS. The only reason this got 5 stars is because it is exactly as what is advertised. Ive added a photo with other objects so you can see how small it really is.

These metal weights are perfect for fishing. They come in a variety of sizes so you can add/take off different sizes to make the perfect weight for your line. I'm happy about the amount of weights that came in the box too. The picture stays true to amount and size for each compartment. These are super simple to use too since all you have to do is pinch them closed with the fishing line inside of it it and they stay on just fine even during casting. To take them off all you have to do is put your fingernail between the two halves of the weight and pull them apart and it will fall right off. These little things are really handy and well made. I especially like that the back of each weight is flexible metal so it can open and shut without it breaking into two pieces.

I like the price of the item and the variety the only problem is Amazon shipped it in a plain envelope with no padding and the plastic case it came in with shattered kind of a pain to deal with having no place to put all the split shots

Cheaper than local instore. Works well, does not slide down the line.
