One Aftermarket Add on Rotary Cutter Slip Clutch Easily Add a Slip Clutch to Your Splined PTO.

I’ve been using this for about two years now between my tractor PTO spindle and brush cutter driveshaft. with the nuts flush with the ends of the bolts it was a little bit tight at first (but still gave way before breaking the shear bolt on stumps etc.), but now it’s just about perfect, giving me a smoother start on the brush cutter and slipping when I hit so much as a hard piece of wood or something. Even if this one breaks, I’ll definitely buy another one just like it.

Heavy duty clutch. Seems well made for a good price. Torque spec sheet was not included, but I contacted the seller,& they emailed a copy right away.

Functions as it should. Took a bit of time to dial it in, there aren’t any instructions, so it’s just guess and check. But it works well now. I’m still running a shear bolt as a safety measure, but haven’t broken one since I got this clutch dialed in.There is a bit of surface rust showing up. Would be nicer if the steel were a little more corrosion resistant. But that’s what grease is for. Can’t really complain for the price.

I have installed this a few different times with no real success in what I need it for. First, it does not seem to fit directly on my wood chipper so I put it directly on the tractor instead. Very hard to install it on tractor since I had to remove the PTO guard to put on clutch, and then have small hands to put back on PTO guard. Then winter came and it wont allow the Snow Blower to hook up, I even have PATS quick disconnects to add that extra distance, but the PTO will not hook up to splines and lock as needed. Had to remove to use my Snow Blower, but would work on blower side if I wanted. Still never got it to slip before a sheer pin would snap both on blower and chipper. Sheer pins turned out to be way easier to use. Just not meant for me I guess.

I have an itty-bitty 22hp Kubota tractor that every time the brush hog would hit substantial branches, it would stall the motor. Not any longer! The impact shakes the daylight out of everything, but it keeps running! Also used it on a post-hole digger that was famous for going through shear-pins with the 9" auger. Drilled 24 holes, 0 sheared pins! I'm calling it a "WIN"!

I bought this for two reasons, first to space my PTO coupler back a few inches to match the quick-hitch I added, and of course to protect the tractor from catastrophic events.It fits and works as it should. I’m happy.I have a Kubota L3901, 37 horsepower tractor, my PTO powered implements are an offset flail mower and a 6-foot rotary mower.
