Great product!

Great product! Made our tile flooring look new again. We've tried every other method to try and restore/clean our grout, but without luck. We tried cleaning chemicals, natural mixes, baking soda, vinegar, bleach, etc. Then we tried wire & nylon wheels hooked up to a drill, but with no luck. This was the last resort, and it works! And I've read complaints about it looking like white out on grout, but I'm guessing those consumers didn't find the right color. In local stores, they only carry a few colors: white, gray and tan. On The company website, I found that they offer 40+ colors! So I went on Amazon and ordered 4 different colors to test. The third one I tested worked best for our tile color.* Please note that the color slightly changes when it dries. So I would recommend doing a small area, waiting for it to try first, then evaluate color match. In regard to application, what worked best for me was to use a regular paint brush, same that I use when painting the corners or edges of my walls. Mine had a tapered end, which I think helps. Then I slightly wet the end of the brush and dried a bit, just enough to get the bristles compacted. I then squeeze a line of sealer along the middle of the brush, asking the entire length. Then, just paint along the grout. Super easy and fast. Hardly any paint got on tiles. And if it did, I would wipe off after doing a few grout lines, didn't wait for it to dry. Just used a dry microfiber cloth. And, if the sealer is a good match in color, you're really not going to see it on the tile.I only applied 2 weeks ago, so don't know long t term durability, although it's a colored sealer, so should be easier to clean going forward, and should be durable enough to stick.Highly recommend! Just but a few colors first to try and send back whatever you don't open.See my attached photos for proof!

Works very well but figure out which method works best for you before YouTube dictates your job

I have been looking for a grout stain to go over the corral on my white textured tile floor over 3,000 ft². The brand I was using is no longer made but this is surprisingly good and easy to use. Just take your time and do one or two lines at a time and wipe them off. I saw videos where people say come back tomorrow and wipe off the excess which is a total nightmare if you have texture tile. My recommendation is to have a towel to wipe off the excess that is damp and a dry towel if you need to go back over it it will get the job done. To make it even better get a denture toothbrush with some formula 88 and water to scrub the old area first. Surprisingly sometimes if you previously had staying it will bring it back to normal but at very least it will clean the area where the new stain will stick when you put it down. My advice stay away from YouTube videos as they will confuse you. Try one area you let it dry and come back later then try an area the way I mentioned to see what is better for your situation as everybody has a different style of tile. Good luck

Re-Colored Our Tan Grout - Worked Great

I used this product, in Alabaster, to re-color our tan 20 year old grout. I took my time applying directly to the grout with a small utility brush. It applied smooth and evenly, and since I kept it neat, I didn't have a lot of cleanup. I just let it dry for an hour and scraped it off the glazed surface of the tile. It came off fairly easily, and stayed on the grout surface, like it should have. It's been about three weeks, and it looks great. I will say I thoroughly cleaned the grout before applying. There were a few darker areas, but this product had even coverage, so you can't tell.

A little goes a long way

I used this in my kitchen and bathroom and still have enough touch both of I need it. Easy to apply, I would recommend using a brush that isn’t as wide as the width of your grout. Try to avoid getting this on your tile, as much as possible or you’ll be on your hands and knees scraping it off the tile. I gave this a 4 stars because it seems to chip off easily. I hope that it cures to the grout as it sits.

Works Great!

My tile grout looks brand new again. For me it worked best when I put it in a bowl and watered it down to make it thinner and easier to spread out. It made it look more natural like the original grout. I don't know if the manufacture recommends that but it worked best for me. I did not like the way it looked prior to adding water. It looked like plastic caulk or something. That's the best way I can describe it. Do a test area and let it dry to see what you think before trying my recommendation. Make sure you find and use a brush that is not too wide. It should be the width of your grout line to prevent mess and if you clean as you go you will not have to go over your floors again to clean up the dried solution. I used a very thin cheap tooth brush that fit down in my grout line and had no mess to clean up. I have mopped my floors many times since applying and have had spills in the grout that cleaned right up without staining so I am very pleased with the results. I used the color Avalanche. Clean your floors and grout good before applying and you should have great results too!

Dries very quickly, beware!

I hate grout with a white hot passion. But this product made me like my shower again. Make sure all soap scum is cleaned off tiles because the colorant likes to stick to it.Work in small sections and wipe off sooner than the recommended drying time. If you let it dry, then you have to do A LOT of scraping. By the end, I had the hang of it and knew to work in only a 2x2 foot section before moving on. It was time consuming, but no more moldy corners! I used a small cup to pour the paint in and used a small, flat watercolor brush. I chose a color slightly tinted instead of all white, as I am hoping it will hide the discoloration and inevitable build up over time.

Take your time and the results are worth it

I carefully selected a color that would coordinate with my tiles and worked in small sections using a child size tooth brush and a sponge to clean up the edges. 24+ hours later, I went over the area with a steam mop. The color looked brighter when wet but dried to the exact color on the label in 24 hours. The grout on my floors had been brown/taupe which always looked dirty, and changing the color to alabaster made the floors look cleaner and visually the rooms look larger.Very pleased with results- definitely worth the time and patience!
