Writing with Blackwing pencils
I write children’s books, and take notes with pencils. I need a strong lead pencil that writes like ink. Blackwing pencils are exceptionally made and wear so well. I don’t use any other pencil. Well worth the price!

Gotta pick what works for you, but these are my favorite!
Blackwing makes a harder and a softer option, but the Palomino is perfect for me. Dark enough without smudging!

They're pencils. But there is a kind of cool factor to them.
Any pencil will do, but sometimes it's nice to use something of bygone era. That's what Blackwing pencils are for me. Not just a writing or drawing tool. It's a slice of the past. Overall it's a great pencil for a premium price, and the packaging is very nice too. It'd make a good present for someone who would appreciate it's history and quality.

Makes a wonderful gift for any artist
I bought these as a gift for a growing artist, which was warmly received and they have become a personal treasure. It’s just a wonderful feeling to see the artist grow and improve with each work they create, no matter how small. Recommended!

I’ve known of these pencils for over 60 years. My mother discovered them and we used them especially for crossword puzzles.I’m now sharing them with my grandchildren and they love them. On is an artist and she is a big fan.
