Developed annoying creak after a few days of use
I wanted to replace an older red ergonomic "office" chair for crafting and sewing in my art studio. It only needed replacing because the cushion had flattened after 18 years providing less comfort to my derrière after a few hours of work. I like the color of this chair and it is comfortable enough for crafting and sewing. It rolls easily but doesn't sending you across the room or move out of your way just when you need to sit. Note, it has developed an annoying creak whenever I reposition myself in the chair and this, only after a few days of purchase. (Note: I am 5 ft 3 and 135 lbs). The creak will probably drive me crazy so I will likely replace it for a higher quality chair.

assembly nightmare
great chair once you get it assembled and good luck on that part. directions were not clear at all, were provided with the incorrect number of screws (more small than big) and the holes didn't line up. gave a 4 star because it is very study and durable when in use... for now

I was FOR this chair before I was AGAINST it.....
This product will get two stars for now but I may update it to three if it holds up....here's the story-I needed a new desk chair, one that was marginally comfortable and easy to use (I was not going to pay $1000 for a Herman-Miller Aeron Chair). This $100 chair was in my price range and it looked ok so I decided to go for it.After about 3 weeks of use, I leaned back in it one day and one of the metal retaining rings that hold the plastic casters to the base which is welded to the bottom of the chair broke free from its welds. The chair tipped back and I almost broke my skull in the fall (I have finished cement floors in my home, no carpeting). The metal spoke on the base of the chair dug into my floor (damaging the concrete) but, luckily for me, slowed the fall so I was able to reach out and grab a hold of a cabinet next to me to keep from falling further. The gouge in my floor is annoying, but fixable and in the future I will purchase one of those plastic mats you put on floors for chairs to roll on.I immediately contacted Amazon (luckily it was sold by Amazon and not one of the third party sellers or else I think my resolution would have taken A LOT longer) and they replaced the chair immediately and paid for the shipping of the broken chair back to their return center in KY. I disassembled the broken chair and put it in the box that the replacement arrived in.I am a patient and tolerant man, so I'll give this replacement chair a fair chance to make up for the failure of the original unit. I am an engineer by trade and I can see how and why the weld broke on the bottom and its basic root cause is that this chair was manufactured overseas (in China) and China, simply put, produces sub-standard products because they cut corners in their manufacturing processes (the welding could easily be improved with a simple change in weld process that would make it more reliable). However, since I've already stated that I'm not about to spend more than $100 for a chair, I have to live with the notion that, "you get what you pay for."If this replacement chair fails, I will send it back to Amazon and demand a full refund of my money. If it holds up over the next few months, I will improve the rating score of this product to a 3.

Excellent value for the price
This office chair appears extremely sturdy and I find the burgundy, black, and chrome version looks appealing in a quiet modern decor. The chair's pieces were packed loosely in a single-wall box, but they suffered no damage. The materials the chair is made of, steel, strong plastic, and foam, will survive a ton of abuse in shipping without damage, as long as the box doesn't come apart and the pieces fall out.The assembly instructions were only pictures but were fairly easy to follow. All the parts were included.I had two issues assembling the chair. The back butts against the lever assembly under the chair, and the lever assembly prevented the back from reaching the predrilled holes. There are two plastic end pieces that are part of the back that I needed to remove to reduce the clearance between the two pieces so the back could be attached. Also, the lever in the assembly under the chair must be rotated to vertical before inserting the base. This isn't indicated anywhere, and I had to pull the base off, reorient the lever, and reattach the base. The chair is quite comfortable for my smaller frame: I'm 5' 9" and 150+ lbs. I had to loosen the adjustment knob quite a bit before I could lean back, which indicates to me that the lean mechanism could handle a much heavier person. The seat's foam is only moderately dense. I find I feel the hard plastic side of the back if I lean back at an angle. Someone with a larger frame might hit these edges often. The arms have no padding and are not adjustable, which seems to be the weakest ergonomic point in the chair. I find them comfortable but others may not.I'm happy with this chair and the price.

Elegant and comfortable
This is my new favorite office chair! Love the look and color, of course, but it's also super comfortable. The seat has the perfect amount of padding and the back supports my lower back perfectly. Just one word of warning: this chair came with a weird collection of screws, some very long and some very short, which didn't correspond to the physics of the chair. (Directions recommended some short screws in places that they needed to be longer, and longer screws in places they needed to be shorter.) Fortunately, I had my own collections of screws so I could improvise, but it does seem like the screws that came with my chair were a bit wonky. Definitely have some back-up screws (1" length seems best) in case you encounter the same problem.

Not a satisfied customer
After using this chair for a month I'm quite sorry I purchased it. The first problem came when putting the chair together. When attaching the back of the chair, had to remove the protective plastic nubs to be able to get it to fit. Bad design. The next problem is that the locking bar preventing the chair from leaning back constantly slips out and unlocks. I like the mesh back. I like the colour. The cusion and arms are not bad. I mean, I supposed I shouldn't expect much from a $200 chair, but it still is $200, and should perform a bit better. I probably am not going to purchase a chair from this company again.

Easy to put together and super comfy. My old chair was hurting my lower back terribly so I bought this one and it's perfect. Shipped right on the estimated time too
