Very Good Little Unit!
Very Impressed with Quality of Boombox and Sound Quality! Easy to use and set up for first use. Easy to use. As mentioned by others, the Volume and Radio tuning knobs are very sensitive but it is easy to get used to. I am also very impressed with the sound quality of this unit. Much better than I expected. For the money, this boombox Rocks!

Nice boombox with good sounds
I have ordered and used GPX brand of speakers before, so I know it’s a good brand. I am quite pleased with the purchase of this am/fm/CD boombox. I ordered it so I can turn it on for my puppy when I leave the house. It’s perfect for us.

You get what you pay for
Got this for my dad who is elderly. He wanted a cheap simple boombox to listen to some Christian music on. There are more expensive ones that go for $30-$40, but I was surprised CD players seem to be generally somewhat rare. I wanted something that was easy to use that someone who doesn't know much English can use it, and this was the product.1) Controls are straightforward. Fast forward, Rewind, Skip Track, Shuffle, Repeat, etc.2) Programmable tracklist, ala old style Sony Walkman where you have to go to each track and input it manually3) AM/FM function.4) Volume knob instead of buttons - I actually like that way more because it allows you to more easily adjust the volume.5) Line in function in case you want to use your boombox as a speaker. As for the speaker - it is cheap. It sounds very tinny, like sound that's being played inside a box instead of sound leaving the box. It's perfectly fine for a $20 piece of hardware, but if you're an audiophile you are going to be sorely disappointed. For me, all that my dad cares about is it plays some CD music, and because it's the cheapest thing on Amazon that works, it really is all you need. The bonus of it is that you can stick batteries in it and take it somewhere. The batteries don't last that long, maybe a day's worth at most of playing. Use Duracell Optimas if you have to. Otherwise there's a power plug which gives you infinite days worth of playing. You need a total of 9 C size batteries. What's unfortunate is batteries are usually sold in multiples of 2, so you're gonna have to buy an extra pack on top of an 8-pack.The overall construction is very cheap feeling. Plastic feels cheap, speaker is mediocre, buttons feel plasticky. The thing has a handle you can swing out but it doesn't appear to latch on. However, for $20, what do you expect from a piece of tech that is outdated? It is a nice design though. Sleek black with a bit of silver trimming.A lot of people here are complaining about receiving broken units. For what it's worth, my unit came with a scuffed cover, so I suspect there's a lot of returns that Amazon gets but is failing to procses as "Used" in their Amazon Renewed program. The unit is too cheap to bother returning. It does its job, scuff marks and all.So for its price, yes, it's pretty decent. Don't expect to be blown away by it. If you want better sound quality, you're really better off playing CDs off of a laptop with a bluetooth speaker or something along those lines. But if you have an oldschool dad like me, this is enough, and the radio can also be switched to if he wants additional variety.

Affordable and Powerful
It's true that the digital age is upon us, and CDs are not exactly as popular as they once were. However, some of us still have huge CD libraries. I have one of these CD players which is 3 years old and still running. So when another CD player I had broke, I ordered one of these without hesitation.PROS (1) Affordable. (2) Surprisingly attractive design. (3) Plays CDs very well. (Including burned from laptop CDs) (4) Surprisingly powerful for such a tiny machine. Don't ask ne how it fills such a large room. But it DOES! (5) Because it's small, it's easy to find a spot for.(6) Unlike some brands, there is plenty of room to get the cd in and out without having to play surgeon.CONS (1) Kind of a minor issue, but worth mentioning. When you open the bottom (to get the power cord out), you may find it's not so easy to snap the bottom back on. This obviously doesn't stop you from using the radio or CD player. But it is a strange con.FINAL ANALYSIS What's not to like? It's an affordable price; it has an attractive design; it's easy to find a place for; and it's surprisingly powerful. I can recommend this without reservation. BUY AND ENJOY!

Poor quality
Radio from Amazon Resale was listed as 'like new' but was 'obviously' used. Tested when received but no sound when radio was on. Selector switch difficult to use. Stops not positive. Station tuning knob is extremely sensative. Hard to set on a station. Tested again and sound come on for a few seconds, with poor reception, then went off while radio was still on. Radio box shipped inside larger box with just a small piece of paper in box providing no cushioning at all.
