Modway Lippa Mid-Century Modern Upholstered Fabric Swivel Kitchen and Dining Room Chair in Gray

I ordered 4 of these chairs to replace others in the sunroom. The contemporary styling is perfect, and they are very comfortable and also swivel! Well constructed, easy to assemble. Apparently red is the standard cushion cover, so you will receive red cushions with a zip-off cover. If you order another color, they will include that color cover for you to replace the red. The red cover is heavier and better made than the replacement covers - which are thinner and a little puckered at the seam, and they won't zip all the way - too tight. But the other color covers look great. I ordered green, yellow, blue and will use the red for the fourth chair. I'm waiting on arrival of the table which will complete the look. What a delightful sunroom facelift - highly recommend for any room!

For the price, it's a steal. I have nice new hardware floors I am reluctant to scratch up so coasters were out of the question. I just put up an all white Ikea ALGOT work station / wardrobe up and wanted something that would compliment the minimalist scandinavian design rather than a generic black clunky computer chair.Now most of the time I'm weary of knockoffs and would rather buy "the real thing", but at about $1.5k the real thing is out of the question. Enter Lexington Modern's Tulip chair.The one big discerning difference is the fact that it's made with plastic rather than fiberglass. If it were fiberglass, I'd be willing to put a few more dollars towards it but once again, at 1/10th the price of the real thing, I'll take what I can get.It comes in a rather large package but is a rather lightweight chair- the whole package is about 20 lbs according to UPS, and most of the weight comes from the aluminum base. It's assembled by screwing the top and a steel plate onto the aluminum base using a hex screw which it comes with (very Ikea!) If you order the red one all you have to do is peel off the white backing on the velcro attached to the cushion and plop it firmly into place.It's quite a comfortable chair and the perfectly rounded back gently cups your butt which is quite relaxing. The chair currently is silent but I can tell the bearings aren't quite butter smooth when I swing a little fast (I can feel the vibrations) so I might take up the other reviewer's suggestion to replace the bearings.As for my floors- the bottom is lined with felt so it easily and quietly glides on hard floors without scratching them. The felt is white so if you're not meticulously clean I can see that going gray / dirty quickly.Other than that, this is a fantastic chair, well worth the price if you want a little bit of "design" without investing your life towards it.

I bought two of these chairs. I really like the styling. They seem sturdy. The base is metal and the seat is molded plastic. The seat cover is also sturdy. I did grease the swivel bearings as another reviewer had suggested. My only complaint is that the back of the chair leans away from seat. While the seat is comfortable, it doesn't provide any back support unless you lean back a little bit.

The quality is great, the overall look is eye catching and perfect for my house. The chairs swivel and are sturdy. The cushions are comfortable and have removable covers, the covers have to be put on when you receive them. The set up of this set was very easy...Delivery guys were cool.

This item could have been amazing had it not been for the several flaws I noticed right off the bat. There was a crack I found at the base of the chair close to where the upper shell attaches. My biggest concern, regarding this crack, was that if a heavyset person were to sit in this chair that it might actually break; thus, resulting in possible serious injury. I also couldn't ignore the marring and dull scratch marks on the shell of the chair on both the front and the back toward the top. I'm not sure if I was given a previously used chair. If that's the case that is unacceptable. It looked used and not well taken care of.The cushion is a bit overly-firm but that's not a big deal. It has an almost identical look to the actual original chair which I have owned several in my lifetime. Pretty much the only give away to this chair not looking exactly like the original is that the circular base/lip that comes into contact with the floor has a slightly bubbled appearance. Whereas the original tapers down to almost nothing. Those very familiar with the original will know what I'm talking about. This wasn't a big deal for me but the crack and marring/scratches were.Overall, I returned the chair for a refund. I did not want to take the chance of having this similar problem happen again in the future by trying to exchange it. I have no car and returning this large parcel was a bit of a pain to take to the UPS Store using public transit.

while beautiful and stylish, we have six of these and two have split up the center of the plastic base along with the base of the back rest of the tulip. Four have splits at the base of the back rest. They have to be thrown into the dump, what a shame and a waste of money. I am certain nothing lasts forever, but the design of the chair is ridiculous if it is going to break at a stress point that is supposed to part of a chair, THE BACKREST. Now we have to search for new chairs.

I purchased four of these to go with an Ikea tulip-style table. These chairs look very authentic and are sturdy. Perhaps slightly smaller than I expected, but not much and they are comfortable for my 6' frame. Three of them arrived with red covers on the cushion, but white covers were included and they are not difficult to change. The fourth arrived with the white cover installed. Assembly is easy with the included allen key. Packaging was protective and not difficult to remove. Most was recyclable. Very happy with the purchase.

Chair l9oks great!!! The green is a great colour we got an extra grey cover with it. Chair had no scratches on it when we received. Easy to put together.

The post bearings are poor quality but the chairs are good. Looks great in our kitchen.

Great look. Ordered green covers; chairs came with red covers on, but green ones in the box. Green does not fit well -- very hard to put on and one zipper broke with the effort. Contacted company about the bad fit; they issued a small refund for my trouble.

I bought two. One cracked after a couple years at the base of the seat and backrest, and no matter how many different glues I try it won't bond. The other is still going strong. But they look great and super comfortable. But I just can't bring myself to buy again to replace the cracked chair.

Love it! This style is timeless and always looks fantastic. Swivels very smoothly.
