Part was reasonable and fit perfectly.

We been needing to replace this part on our shower door for quite some time. This was easy to install and the magnet holds so strong. I don't know why we took so long to find this little beauty.

This product was exactly what I needed for my shower door to keep it closed. My old one had broken. Easy to install.

I tried to replace my broken 20+ year-old plastic latch with the equivalent from a big-box home improvement store. After asking three sales persons who couldn't direct me to the shower door latch, I gave up and tried Amazon. This item is cheap and it works. I thought that the metal was a bit thin and flexible. From underneath (which is completely open) you can see that the spring is held in only by the dimple struck into the back of the housing.The instructions on the back of the package show how to mount this onto the shower door. My old latch had been mounted on the door jamb, and the latch engaged the edge of the interior door handle. To make this work as before, I had to place a plastic shim 0.080 inches thick under it. Even with this shim, the screws supplied are long enough to engage the previous holes in the aluminum frame. Because the metal housing is not bent to exactly 90 degrees at the outside corners, the spacing of the screw slots was a bit wide, but the the housing is springy enough to allow the housing to compress inward so that the screws to engage the old screw holes.The slots at the side allow the latch to be adjusted so that the latch engages properly. With the shim, there is just the right amount of resistance and "hold".

Spring is not strong and the latch is not holding the door anymore.

Absolute garbage. Never worked. First close of the door and it jammed. Tried 50+ times after jamming and it either jammed again or didn’t have enough spring strength to hold the door closed. I don’t know how you screw up such a simple design but they found a way. Utter trash.

Original spring loaded latch in shower door finally broke after being in use since 1963!No OEM replacement to be found but this simple latch works great! Easy instal too.

cheap quality... it is close to garbage but I could disassemble part of it and use it in my existing door catch so not all was lost... it also is not very good quality stainless steel.. if in fact it is stainless... but for the money I guess it is not completely horrible... It also did not catch my door very well until I modified it... it may be ok for some but I would not buy it again

I had no issues with the product, I had to make a slight adjustment to the door but that was expected and it was not an issue. Shipping was quick and on time.
