Slap it on the wall and give your kid the gift of knowledge!
It is amazing to me how many adults are clueless about the location of states! I had maps on my wall as a kid and, as a result, geography was easy for me. This, I'm sure, is due to just having the information around all of the time. I wanted to do the same for my daughter so I ordered this map and I was pleasantly surprised. The color, detail, and quality are top notch!

Good map. Text is tiny.
I framed this map. It looks very nice. However the text is very small and I cannot read it without a magnifying glass. My son has difficulty reading too.

Worth the $
Decorating my grandsons (9 & 7) new bedroom. We all wonder where we are at, where we fit in this world. At 9 & 7, they're inquisitive on country, world. This is a great reference to show them the scope of where we are at compared to the world. Right now it is just the United states. I also have a globe showing them all the different countries. I put a frame around it but it doesn't need it. It comes rolled up laminated and I could have just tacked it to the wall. A friend suggested framing so I did. It has cities, lakes which are educational.

Great map!
Very large and detailed! Beautiful! I would recommend this map to anyone interested in an educational map for their children or just to mark places you've visited in the U.S.

Better than expected
Got a lot of maps from Staples, etc. but they all of plain paper. Saw only one review for the map and took me a few days before ordering. Since the price was low enough and it being laminated, it was still cheaper than keep buying the paper maps. I was very pleased when it arrived that the quality was really really good. All in all, a very good buy.

The map is perfect for helping the kids get acquainted with geography. I put it prominently on the wall, and will now use it often when locations come up in conversations, watching the news, or movies. "Dad, don't pause the movie again!..." lol. Every moment can be a teaching moment and this map should be in every home.
