To be honest, I had my doubts about this little scoop. It is filled with anti-freeze, and so requires special handling, can not be put through the dishwasher. I bought it after reading a review of a similar model which indicated this it is what is used in in ice cream parlors. It was inexpensive enough that I thought worth taking a chance on.I have nicely designed scoop from Zyliss Zyliss Right Scoop Assorted Colors which I love, however...I made some ice cream for my son's birthday with a fabulous recipe from the New York Times. It tastes great, if you can get it out of the container. It is a very dense, rich ice cream which froze very solid. It has taken quite a bit of work to get any out with my regular scoop, but this has worked like magic.I never would have considered purchasing a scoop filled with anti-freeze until I saw that review, so Thank you to whoever recommended it, and I am passing that recommendation on, as I a finding that this works quite well, well enough that I intend to buy another in a different size (because I like that recipe too).

This is hands down the best ice cream scoop out there. It uses your hand warmth to warm the scoop. I have had mine for over a year and love it. I just recently had to buy a new one because my husband accidentally put it in the dishwasher, but it wasn't the end of the world because it only costs $10 to replace.

It might have been a good ice cream scooper if it had not been totally corroded! The size looked good for what I was looking for but I was appalled that they would ship something with this poor quality. The end was not attached correctly and it was corroded all down the handle. Surely they should have noticed this in an inspection line!!

Easy to use, scoop is smaller than expected.

Worked well while dishing out ice cream for a large group and easy to hand wash when done. I bought these for an office function but I may be buying for my house. No complaints especially considering the price.

Not a whole lot to say about it. It's a sturdy ice cream scoop with a heat transfer fluid in the handle. Makes scooping ice cream an order of magnitude easier than with the crappy lever scoops or the cheap plastic scoops. 10/10 would scoop again.

Nicely built but very small

The media could not be loaded. Makes serving ice cream so easy. Not only does the mineral oil inside help redistribute the heat from your hand to warm the ice cream, you can also run the handle under hot water to do the same. My FAVORITE thing, however, is how easily the ice cream COMES OUT of the scoop - no more having to stick my fingers into a cold treat and PUSH it out of the scoop. The ice cream literally just falls right out into the bowl. It's amazing.
