I normally add malt to chocolate drinks and didn't know there was a Chocolate version so i tried this 2 pack instead of buying 2 of the regular malts.That said, the Chocolate Malt tastes more like just chocolate drink powder, (like hot chocolate in the packets). it doesnt have a strong (or really discernible malt flavor), because the chocolate overpowers the malt. its basically chocolate powder - the malt is there, but its really really light. i had to add the original malt to drinks i made with the chocolate if i wanted a really malt flavor).that being said (and this might turn some people off but) I LOVE that they clump up if you put big scoops at a time and let it sit instead of stirring it together fast. im sorry if that sound weird but growing up going to mel's diner and malt shops with my dad, I love the chunky, clumpy malt bits that stay in the metal cup. it makes a nice extra punch and give a little malty crunch to the drink? like texture instead of just dissolving into the drink. Does this make sense? its hard to describe. Dont get me wrong, the powders DO melt & dissolve. but i make cold drinks and to dissolve in cold drinks you really have to stir it (the original more so than the chocolate - the chocolate is a thinner powder than the original).Would buy again! (but i still have a lot from this haha)

This product is very good. Dissolves quickly and tastes great

I found that following the instructions provided a somewhat weak drink. I had to increase the amount by about 1.5 tablespoons to make the drink strong enough. This was supposed to be a malt, not a simple chocolate drink.
