Works great

I wired this into USB for BiasT, and it’s strong enough to pull Inmarsat-C and JAERO. So far so good.

UPDATE! May 24, 2023WOW! I have a Uniden BCT15X scanner, and I use a 150MHz dipole antenna to receive county EMS, MURS, Gov't emergency, and aircraft. I connected this LNA to my coax, and I am absolutely blown away by the difference. I now get every surrounding county's EMS dispatch at a solid 5 bars. Without the LNA, I receive Stanly county dispatch on a clear day wavering between 2 and 3 bars. With this LNA, it's a solid 5 bars, and in a straight line, Stanly county dispatch is 44 miles from my house! At this point it is clear that the only reason I am not receiving other counties is because I don't have them programmed into the scanner. What's even more impressive is that I can now receive the 444.4500MHz repeater in Dallas, NC, at a full 5 bars! And let me remind you that I am using a 150MHz dipole. The 444.4500 repeater is 35 miles away. Without the LNA, I'm lucky to receive this repeater at all on this antenna.Today I will take down my dipole and put up my old Radio Shack "Sputnik" scanner antenna. I can hardly wait to see what I can receive. If you use a scanner, this LNA is invaluable. Why didn't I think of this sooner?Review from January 28, 2023:I am using this for my TinyGS ground station, and it is every bit of 20dB gain in the 433 MHz range. Barely gets warm. Good little amplifier. So clearly, this is a version of the SPF 5189 low-noise LNA. This is a well-known amplifier that has been around through several revisions, and there are many videos and blogs that can attest to its performance. It begins to roll off around about 700 MHz, and it is rated for 18.7dB gain at 900 MHz. I am seeing a solid 20dB in the 400 - 450 MHz range. This amp's noise floor is measured to be 0.6 dB at 900 MHz, so that puts it in the ultra-low-noise category. However, I see that this LNA has been discontinued, so when current stock is depleted, it will no longer be available. That is quite unfortunate, because given my research, there is no other LNA that can match its performance in this price range. That being the case, I think I might purchase a backup. I am very pleased with the performance of this LNA.

Works great.

I use it as a 1090mhz amp for flight tracking. Better than the more expensive amps.

Basic broadband amp. Construction good and it works.

Didn't see much of a difference with ham radios

Tried this for FlightAware, TinyGS and LoRa APRS iGate. Didn't seem to help with reception. It was cheap enough to try out though. 4 stars.
