FAULTY MANUFACTURING
I bought this unit to replace a spa heater that was 20+ years old. I expected that I would enjoy a similar experience with Jandy that I'd already had. Well, sadly, that was not the case. Once the new unit was delivered and installed by our pool company, we enjoyed a number of evenings in our spa. The weather got cold and we waited for spring to use the spa again. Spring time came and went. So did summer. Fall came and we fired up the spa heater... and nothing. Checked pilot. Checked the temp setting. All OK. Called the pool company. They showed up the next day.Upon inspection they gave the bad news: The heat exchanger went out and that allowed water to get into the main heater and compromised all the electronics which caused the whole unit to fail. Nothing but rust was left. Nothing to repair or salvage. Now, if you are selling me a unit for $2400 and it is professionally installed and it worked from day one and it craps out in 18 months, then I attribute the failure to faulty manufacturing. One star is generous.

Broke in Two Months
We purchased this heater after the heater we had for 17 years finally went. The pool heater was purchased in June 2018 and in August just 2 months later the heater stopped working and water was leaking out of it. Contacted the company and was told that parts were under warranty but not labor. Finally spoke to another person that said they would send out a service manager. He came and told us that because the PH was low in the pool it ruined the heater. Nothing now was under warranty! He said it would cost too much to fix and we should just get a new one. $2500!! For just two months. We have the water tested by a local pool company and the PH has always been fine. Never low. I would never recommend this to anyone. I would give zero stars but you have to pick something. If the unit can break in 2 months because PH is low there is something wrong with it. Even though our PH has been fine how can we prove it.

Nice Heater
I replace my Jandy LT400 heater with the JXI400N. Installation was not difficult for a DIYer. I primarily use the heater to heat up my hot tub not the pool, this heater is a lot smaller than the LT400 which I was concerned about. What I have observed is that it heats about 20% faster than the LT400. Very happy with the small size, it looks much better and give me more room on the equipment pad.

Works great
Nice product, works perfectly. Had the gas connection hooked up professionally. Plumbing and electrical was not difficult. Smaller and quieter unit than my previous one. Also great job from shipping company. No damage to the container, no scratches on unit and courteous drivers. Recommend.

JANDY WORST INVESTMENT WE MADE FOR OUR POOL
PURCHASED X2 IN 5 MONTHS. BOTH FAILED AND JANDY REFUSE TO STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT.

Beware
We bought a home and previous owner had purchased the Jandy. We called to see if we could get a minor issue checked and we’re told Sorfy but the warranty is not transferable to us regardless the age of unit!! It’s a horrible policy considering the cost! I would never but it.

Jandy - Bad Heat Exchanger - Do not buy
I purchased a JXI260N in 2016. Surprised the heat exchanger for my spa and the entire heater must be replaced. I upgraded to all Jandy pool equipment between 2016 and 2018. I thought a heater should last 15 to 20 years, NOT 6 YEARS!
