CAMO Lever Deck Board Bending, Straightening and Locking Tool for Faster & Easier Deck Installation

This tool saved my deck install. When building a composite deck I found the boards to be so warpes that this tool is critical to get good alignment

Wow! If you're building a deck using 2x material, you need this. The Camo Lever straightens boards and holds them in place while they are being fastened. I don't care how strong you are or how many people are assisting you. Bent boards are extremely difficult to straighten and hold. This is the way to do it. The tool is well designed and extremely sturdy. It is adjustable from one 2" joist up to two 2" joists. There are a few tricks you will learn while using the tool. For example, occasionally it's helpful to use a short block in between the tool and the board being straightened when spacing is an issue. If you get this tool, you'll see what I mean. I also used Camo's Marksman Pro-X1 to fasten my deck boards (amazing product), but this tool is essential regardless of how you fasten your boards. If you are building a deck, get this tool!!

How do you recommend me job a lot easier

If you're working with fairly straight deck boards and only have to close up small gaps it works great. If you're boards are a little more warped then it can be a hassle. The way the cam closes on the joist isn't real tight with the little lever provided on the tool. This allows it to back away from the board a little which doesn't close the gap up if it's a bit bigger. I used a wrench on the lever to give me more closing pressure on the joist.

So I spent about 50 hours bending 2x6 redwood onto a deck replacement. Figure 130 12’ pieces of lumber cut and fit over 24” o/c joists.I used the camo hidden fastener system which also set my minimum board spacing. This lever tool works really well for bending Home Depot lumber into submission. Using can leverage off of my joists corrected most of the wood defects encountered. I paired this tool with several Dewalt clamps to suck the lumber down to the joists to minimize board height differences.Having two of these levers would be even better and would probably reduce the amount of physical effort needed to force the boards into submission.I don’t think I would have been able to get the results seen without the tool’s assistance. Not with Home Depot pretzel wood at least.

I'm putting down composite boards on my deck, and the boards are not always straight. I tried another product to try to push them together for the hidden clips between the boards, and it was so hard to do. I went back into the house and ordered this Camo. I love it! It works so easy and holds the boards well. I'm doing this project alone so the holding the boards in place is a big deal to me. My deck is approx 20 feet by 20 feet so I have a lot of decking to put down and it's making my job so much easier. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this CAMO Lever Deck Board Tool!!!!
