Walker Ultra EPA 16646 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter 1.875" Outlet (OD) for Hyundai Elantra

This converter seems to work good. It fixed my Issues on my 2018 Hyundai Tucson. It looks to be of the same size and quality as the OEM. You do have to cut out your old one on one end. This takes 5 seconds with a sawzall and a fresh metal blade. You can put it back together with a coupler and clamps or just weld it back up like I did. A muffler shop would probably charge you $100 or less to put this in. It is very simple and should take less than an hour. You folks in salty areas may have a more difficult time with the two flange bolts on the engine side. My particular vehicle had a heat shroud on the O2 sensor that screws into the side of this converter. I had to get a longer O2 socket to remove it. You could just cut a notch in it with a cutoff wheel for the O2 socket to slide down in further if you didn't want to go looking for a different tool. As far as fitment is concerned, this one worked on my 2018 Hyundai Tucson with a 2.0 engine. This one has the downstream O2 sensor sticking out of the passenger side at about the middle of the body. Amazon says this one does NOT fit my application. I originally ordered Walker Ultra EPA 16886 which does not have the provision for the O2 sensor in it. Basically to know which one you need, you will need to check and see if your car has the O2 sensor sticking out of the passenger side. I'm sure this unit fits multiple models across the Hyundai and Kia lines. I'm pretty sure this one fits the 2.0 engine and the other fits the 1.6 engine as it is much smaller. Hope this helps.

The Walker Ultra EPA 16646 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter was indeed a direct fit for our Hyundai. It went on quickly and did not throw any error codes. It allowed us to get our Hyundai back on the road at a substantial savings versus the cost of the part and repair at a dealiership or service station. Highly recommended!

You’ll likely have to weld one end. A clamp won’t seal it.

Just had my wife's catalytic converter replaced at a local shop. I replaced it with the one I purchased here from Amazon in August of 2022. Didn't last nearly as long as expected.
