There was a time when every mountain bike was an all-around hardtail. The Line follows in that great tradition — but that doesn’t mean it’s some kind of crusty throwback. We’ve equipped the Line with a cutting-edge 6061-T6 aluminum modern frame that’s lightweight, yet stable under pressure making it the perfect mountain bike for when you’re looking to boost a little air or hit that next corner a bit faster. The frame is also compatible with internally routed dropper posts, is custom-formed, and has butted tubing for added strength. The Shimano 1×9 drivetrain lets you blaze through the gears with pinpoint precision every single time. And because we know hard-charging riders tend to gravitate to these progressive trail bikes, we’ve also added a bit more security in the form of a chain guide with roller, a capable SR Sun tour XCR 120mm travel fork (with a lock-out for those big climbing days) and powerful Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes to help bring you to a stop. Although, we imagine that stopping is probably going to be the last thing you want to do when you bring this bike up to speed. Climbs, descents, berms, a bit of jumping — the Line upholds the do-it-all hardtail tradition without being traditional at all. At Diamondback, we know that a “epic ride” isn’t a destination, it’s a state of mind. Turn onto the gravel road and explore bike trails that aren’t on the app. Pack extra water and a snack in case you’re having too much fun to head home. Make epic happen. Own your adventure.

Great beginner/entry level mountain bike
So far it’s awesome, I’ve taken it on two moderate mountain bike trails and it’s worked great, even when it’s landing on top of me as I crash, sturdy with good components

Great bike horrible service after sale.
The seat and grips are horrible the prebuilt was horrible whomever put this thing together on line had no since the brake lines were twisted and run on wrong side of bike. Luckily I do this crap normally and took it apart completely and rerouted and bleed the brakes. The bike as a whole for what it is....awesome love it. Advise you take it to a bike shop to be assembled. Or have a friend that can identify problems. This seller doesn't communicate with you at all dead air when I asked questions. The bike I rate at 5 the service I rate at 1. ...... I’ve dropped my rating to 1. False advertisement. The bike the wheels the tires and rims are not tubeless ready as the website and the rim states. It’s a wheel you will have to convert all of it. Need rim tape valve stems and a different set of tires. Nothing is tubeless ready and honestly I’ve had no response from the seller or diamondback.

Excellent bike
Bike showed up when it was supposed too, box was a little beat up and the hardware box was scattered all over the bottom, all the pieces were there I needed to assemble but nothing to worry about, normal wear and tear for getting it shipped and they wrap it so damn well that there was zero damage to the bike. Easy to set up rode around for a couple of hours and no mechanical problems. Great bike in my opinion. Will update if anything changes

Voted best Hardtail for 2019 by many :)
And for good reason. This is the real deal. It comes tubeless ready, dropper post ready, fully customizable, etc. I was trying to save some money by getting a retail sports store bike, and it started having serious issues after only 2 times on a intermediate level trail. My wife did a lot of research, and found the absolute best(for under a grand), so I bit the bullet, and shelled out the money, and so glad I did! Well worth it. The second you sit on it, you'll instantly know it's a BEAST. I wouldn't hesitate going on any double black diamond trail or downhill park on this thing. (If I had the skills) It comes straight out of the box ready to tear up the trails, However, I did just a few quality of life improvements to it. I got a padded narrow seat, grippy custom flat pedals, and some tires that have more grip. I highly recommend getting this bike, you won't find a better one for less than around the $1500 mark, and if you're spending that kind of money, you might as well start looking into getting a full suspension bike. Or a dirtbike for that price....

Awesome bike!
I got this bike for my 15 year old. He has broken two other bikes because his skill set has exceed the quality of the build of them. This bike is made for extreme biking. He jumps it, does downhill, uphill, snow, mud etc. and has had zero problems. The gears shift smoothly and silently. The hydraulic brakes are extremely responsive and allow you to stop on a dime. The aluminum frame is sturdy and lightweight.

Love this bike!
This is an amazing bike for the price. We purchased this bike for my 10yo and he used it to mountain bike in Santa Fe NM, near Zion UT, Moab UT, Canyonlands UT, Big Bend TX along with regular neighborhood riding with friends. The guys at our local bike shop were even impressed when building it and tuning it. Definitely recommend this bike for kids as they begin to get serious about mountain biking!

Two thumbs up
The bike is great. Everything works as expected. I am super happy with my purchase. The bike was easy to assemble, although I did have to re-adjust the front brake line as it was run on the wrong side of the fork, but it was a simple fix. The brakes are very good. The front fork is better than I expected at this price point. I purchased a new seat after my first couple of long rides. The seat that comes with the bike looks great and seems durable but is very hard. I feel this is a common upgrade for most bikes though. The bike handles great and excels on trails and is competent the road and greenways. I give it 5 stars. It is a solid bike for the price.

Solid bike for the money BUT
What I DO like, it’s a good bang for your buck, overall solid bike and like riding it and it’s great for someone trying to get into mountain biking, I went for the line instead of the hook to the fact the suspension is a little better and has lockout along with the color I like the gunmetal blue. Also to note it said it would be here on the 28th and that it was running late and it ended up arriving on 22ndWhat I DONT like is the fact I ordered a medium and got a large although the large fits me really good I wasn’t sure if it would be a bit large since I am 5 11 because I’m more of an aggressive rider, I got the bike was easy to assemble i threw it together and went on a Small ride and the chain snapped, I checked it out got a new chain on and the gears where needing adjusted, can’t seem to get them adjusted so I’m going to have to take it to the bike shop and have them look at it, I still ride it around the neighborhood with my kids on the gears that are shifting good, also the seat isn’t very comfortable, for me at least, BUT overall smooth solid bike. With the limited amount of bikes right now I would say if it goes in stock grab it.
