Does this heating pad provide a moist or dry heat?

Thank you for your question. The heating pad provides dry heat. To use moist heat, you may mist the product prior to heating it in the microwave. However, please note that you may also experience some moist on the fleece side when it is initially removed from the microwave. We hope that helps. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Warm regards, Nature Creation

Can this also be used as a cold pack?

Hi Robin,This is Jane at Nature Creation, sorry for the late response. Thank you for your question. The My Heating Pad- Hot Therapy Pack can be used cold, however please note that this Heating Pad is not meant to be used as an ice pack. It does not get as cold as an ice pack or a regular cold wrap. Directions for use as Cold Therapy: Simply Chill product in the freezer in a tightly sealed plastic Ziploc bag for two hours or longer if needed. Our My Heating Pad- Neck & Shoulder Wrap is Handmade, All Natural, Eco-friendly, and Made in USA.Hope this helps! If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.Jane R.Nature Creation

What is inside the pad? You mentioned "rice", what kind of rice is it? How can it hold the cold or heat?

Hello. The rice used is regular white rice and it usually holds the heat or cold for 15-20 minutes. Thank you.

I do not own a microwave will this be ok heated in an oven?

Just keep a fire extinguisher next by when it lights on fire in the oven but you should be good.
