It’s a great product
We’ve been feeding this canned food for a couple years now intermittently...we alternate between the different color cans of Butcher & Bushel, but they like this one, the orange can (chicken wing & thigh). The dogs get grain free kibble as the largest part of their diet, but they also get some canned food/cooked meat/veggies/various supplements. So yes, it’s true what you’ve read: there’s actual pieces of chicken in this can, bone in. IT’S OKAY. I SWEAR IT’S OKAY.The chicken has been cooked so that the bones are VERY soft and safe. I’m like you; the first time I saw it I was all WTF and scraped the meat off and threw the bones away. Opening the second can to find the same I got upset BUT as I pinched it between my fingers to pull it out of the can, it crumbled in my grip. Oh, I see now. What a great way to get them good tasty snacks!!They love it. It’s very safe. You will not injure your dog, even a little one.The only criticism is that I agree with those saying the meat-to-gravy ratio is a little shanky. Yes. I’d like to see more meat cubes or another wing shoved in here, as it is expensive. However, it is high quality and if you subscribe for a further discount, the price is more reasonable.Just know that yes, the solids volume leaves a little to be desired AND that the chicken bones are powder-soft and therefore safe for eating, and you’ll have no surprises! We continue to buy and the pack continues to think it’s good eating!

Contains dangerous chicken bones!
I received severely damaged (dented) cans even though the packaging was not damaged and when I opened the first can I was shocked to find chicken bones in it! Dogs are not supposed to eat chicken bones as they can splinter and cause significant injury, even death. My dogs love the Organic lamb, chicken and turkey flavors and this was the first time I tried the "chicken wing and thigh" version. I'm afraid to feed this product to my dogs and now I am concerned about the quality of all Castor & Pollux dog food.

Real chunks of chicken in the can, even bones that are soft for dogs to eat!
This dog food is amazing! I know some people are complaining about the amount of liquid in the can or the fact that there’s bones but please read the can and you’ll see it’s completely safe for your animal to eat bones. They’ve been cooked in a way that has made them soft and my dog absolutely loves them. This is about as natural as you can get, having cooked chicken with bones in the meal is great for your animal and they’ll love it as well. This kid does have more liquid than the other versions, But that’s because it has large chunks of real chicken in it. I just had a little extra cable when giving my dog this can but I think it’s her favorite out of all the other flavors. Highly recommended!

12 of 12 Dented Cans
I order cat and dog food for the month--so with two dogs and three cats that is a lot of wet food cases. I have only opened three cases so far. One case of the "pink" can was ok. Another case 7 of 12 of the pink cans were dented. I opened this "green" case of cans and 12 of 12 cans are dented. I cannot trust Amazon. I need to go through now and open every single case so I can observe those cans. I feel disrespected as a customer. These cans were dented when assembled in the cases. There is nothing wrong with the packaging. They are doing this on purpose. I would not intentionally spend this much for dented cans.Update: One reason I care so must is that the liner-which I believe has bpa in it anyway, breaks off into the food when the cans are dented. Dog cancer is coming from somewhere. I want to do right by my fur babies. I'm looking for a alternative.I ordered again July 2019, more dented cans.

Good, but could be much better.
I do like this food and so does my silky terrier. However, I find that it is mostly bones. I found anywhere from 2 to 4 bones and a little bit of food and mostly gravy. I don't think there is enough food in these cans and I feel like I have been feeding my dog bones with a few pieces of meat. They mention sweet potatoes, but I haven't seen any except for a few pea sizes pieces sometimes. I would like to feed my dog more veggies than bones and meat. I was excited to find this dog food- my dog is picky and she did like it. the fact that Nestle/Purina bought Organix doesn't make things better either. I am not sure if I will stick with this, but I have a few cans left. I was alarmed when I first saw the bones in the can, but then after reading many amazon reviews, I realized it was ok. The bones are cooked to a soft bone and are easily crushable with a spoon. Like I said before, I am starting to feel like all I am feeding my dog are bones and there are not enough other ingredients, and the can is mostly filled with gravy. I wish they would modify this for a better ratio without changing the price or ingredients and adding real meat off the bone and not processed (which is already kind of pricey). I like Merrick's "Smothered Comfort" where there is a whole thigh with a bone in the can.

Bones are the best!
My dog loves loves ❤️ this!! And the bones are what makes it so special for him. I have to laugh 😂 reading all of the reviews complaining about them. Guess people don't read labels.

BEWARE Orange can is mostly bones and gravy!
I bought this to have in a quick pinch when I'm low on my homemade food for our small dog who is about 18 years old, literally. That said, she does not chew well and I expected a thicker pureed type consistency, as typical with canned dog food. I was extremely shocked and disappointed in several things: 1st the orange can-that's wing and thigh- is mostly gravy, 2nd there were two large bones in it, and little else it seems. I had to throw it in the blender to puree for her and there was so little susustenance t was like watery gravy. I ended up adding rice and more veggie to increase the thickness a bit. Now I'm stuck with 11 more cans of expensive bones and gravy essentially, ugh. Very disappointing.
