Q: Are there six (6) of each (dinner plate, breakfast plate, cereal bowl) ? Where could I get the cups? Does this pattern have other pieces?

Look at the listings for Corelle 16 piece sets (some of which may be sold in stores such as Walmart near you). They are service for 4, with 2 sizes of plates, bowls, and cups. Many people (myself included) have too many coffee cups in our cabinets as it is and don't want the matching Corelle cups.

Q: what comes in this set?

This set contains 6 of the 10.25" plates, 6 of the 8.5" plates and 6 of the 18-oz bowls.

Q: Why are the small plates being advertised as 6.75 inches when they are really 8.5 inches?

The dinner plates are 10 " and the salad/desert plates measure 8.5 inches. I don't recall seeing any measurement of 6+inches, unless I overlooked it.

Q: Do these plates have a matte finish (rough to the touch) or glossy finish (smooth).
