36" (H) x 13" (W) Aluminum Handrail - Safety Grab Bar for Marine, Docks, Decks, Boats, Pools, Hot Tubs

Bought this for my inset hot tub to are easier to get out. They are made of aluminum. It appears they have a transparent coating. They also include attachment flanges on the ends - I believe I had to buy the screws for this purpose. I prefer the type on this product than some other design where the tube is welded to a long plate instead. Much cleaner look. The only wish I had would be to make them a little wider. The radius is relatively small at the top and since we added a rail runner wrap to alleviate the heat soak from the sun, the wrap twists as it goes around. No big deal really.

I mounted this rail in my attic above my attic stair. My stair has a wooden handrail along the side but once you get up on the top steps it it too low to help. This allows me to grab the rail as I am coming up the top steps to the plywood deck in my attic. My worse fear is when I am starting to go down and walking toward the open hole. Now I can grab the rail turn around and feel safe and well balanced as I back down the stair. Each leg has a base with three holes. The unit came with six screws and I was able to install them into a joist and a 2" x4" next to the josit. The rail is pretty sturdy to grab and helps me maintain my balance. The aluminum is nicely finished and is smooth for your hands. It appears to be made very well. I am very happy with this purchase. Maybe a little overkill but falling out of the attic and down 12' would not be a good outcome.

Well-made safety rail with one major inconvenience. The six pre-set screw holes are so close to the safety rail that it was very hard to use a power drill, even a small one, to install. I pre-drilled the holes and still had trouble seating the screws.

Easy to install we mounted on our 2021 Carolina Skiff we are both older and need something to hold on to when getting in the boat or to get to the seat on the front of the boat... it worked wonderfully

Very sturdy and well made

Perfect safety “rail” for the top of pull down ladder to attic. I looked at a lot of rails and this is perfect AND made in the USA. It came sooner than expected. I had read reviews which suggested using longer screws which the handyman did. You won’t be disappointed.

What I expected it to be , fit my application.

Worked great for small dock

I bought this for my swim spa and am extremely pleased. The rail came quicker than promised, is well built and solid. I changed out the 1.5” screws provided for longer ones, even though the 1.5” ones would likely have worked. Easy to install, and provides a more accessible way to enter the swim spa.
