I am still enjoying this book. It's engaging and somehow they use humor to teach you. They include fascinating facts. Somehow it's easy to read. Written by objective biblical scholars, but not pushing an agenda. Perfect for my needs. I'm learning a lot of fascinating info!

Just finished reading "The Bible for Dummies" book and absolutely loved it! Having read the Holy Bible multiple times, different versions and languages, this book clarified some lingering questions. It's an easy read with a touch of humor, all while being respectful to all faiths. Highly recommend it! 📚

The authors do a decent job of offering quick overviews of the bible, including the absurdities and contradictions. However, they do not expose the stupidity for what it is. They omit key verses and offer Judeo-Christian rationalizations.They obviously know their stuff. However, they apparently also know what side their bread is buttered on and choose not to ruffle feathers.A fun, informative read, nevertheless.

The authors have delightful senses of humor, but give scholarly information. Not a dry book. I've known the Bible for years, as a spiritual seeker, and its wisdom blesses my life daily, but I thought it might be interesting to learn more about certain aspects. I wondered if there was a "The Bible for Dummies", and hooray! It's just what I needed to supplement my scattershot knowledge. This is not to help the spiritual seeker to understand the spiritual meanings, but more to understand the historical context and origins. It enriches the meanings.

Tell you about each and every book in the Bible so that you can understand it better. It even explains the seven books of the Catholic Bible. Highly recommend.

Bought as a gift and was disappointed this copy was bought new and it was definitely used.

I have had so many questions regarding what was "really" being said in the Bible and this made it so easy to cut to the language of what they really are meaning to say. I have this on hand for my son's scriptures class at school and it so easy when he gets a tad confused.
