I'd love to give this book a 5-star review, but I can't because of what I consider a major flaw. The herbs are listed in alphabetical order by their scientific name rather than their common name. This means that I have to use the index to find the page an herb is on. Not practical for those of us who don't think of herbs as their scientific name first.Other than that major flaw, the book is beautiful and packed with info. It's worth having in my library but unfortunately isn't the "go to" I had hoped it would be.

I love that this book is easy to read with ample pictures and easy instructions.Contains a brief for the history of medicine.

This was a great buy! Full of info on herbs. Great for beginners. Has history, how to make tinctures, oils, teas. Most every herb you can think of. One of my favorites!
