Crochet Donut Buddies: 50 easy amigurumi patterns for collectible crochet toys

I like this book. There is easier way how to make donuts without making two separate pieces (cake and frosting), which will eliminate some sewing. The patterns are very cute! I recommend it!

I really loved this book, I picked up crocheting shortly into the pandemic and having my daughter as a way to help with anxiety. This book is a really nice intro to amigurmi for people who have the basics (sc, dc, ss, etc.) down. It's a great book to have on hand for stash busting, quick gifts for baby showers, kid birthdays, and farmer markets. All patterns are pretty easily readable, with your basic donut pattern found in the beginning of the book, from there you can make pretty much all 50 critters with minimum fuss, easily a couple hours for some, maybe a day for the more complex ones or less experienced individual. I would buy this again for sure, and would recommend it to those that want to dip toes into more exciting waters over wash clothes and hats and the like. My finished project (he's a turtle and my munchkin named him Butters) is bigger than normal because I double yarned him, the typical size for most of these projects are usually decently palm sized for an adult. You could easily use chunkier yarns to make floor pillows, sport weights to make keychains. Don't stay on the fence, just buy the book. If nothing else it'll make you smile and buy more yarn, and what's the issue with that? ;)

Very beginner friendly (these were my 2nd & 3rd only crochet projects) & worked up quickly! I’ve made the turtle & bunny so far. Can’t wait to make more!

These donuts are so cute and fun to make. The directions are easy to follow and very clear! My favorite is the turtle.

Love the patterns. Easy to read/follow. Beautifully writren.The book does smell... like VERY BAD. Strong chemical smell. I returened the first one. It was so bad you could smell it before even opening to book, once opened it made your eyes water. I exchanged it with no issues and exchange was quick. 2nd book also smelled awful but was not as strong as the first. Opened it and set it out to air out. It has faded enough for me to use the book but still faint.Not sure why it would smell like this, but be ready to take some time to air it out.

The instructions are easy to follow. Great colorful pictures. I highly recommend this book.

This is a good book. But it takes time to make the donuts. I am an average crocheter and I found you need to sit and finished the donut once started. But the results are very nice and sweet. Buy the book if you like crochet. The donuts are fun to make and nice small gifts.
