Love it!!
The new entertainment center looks great and fits perfectly in my space. It's very heavy! When I arrived home I found the delivery people left it on my front stoop, since it was going to rain, I had to get it in the house by myself. Ugh..but where there's a will there's a way! I pushed, slid and turned..got it in far enough to shut the door and left it on the floor til my husband got home. It definitely takes two people to put together, husband did, very carefully, use a drill even though directions say not to. Took us an hour or two to assemble and you need a good amount of open floor space. It's good quality for Sauder and the price fit my budget. Of course I would have preferred a solid wood cabinet but my wallet said otherwise. All in all I am very happy with my Dakota Pass Entertainment center it fit my taste, my space and my budget..

Sturdy & Beautiful
We love this entertainment center. There are only a couple of slight negative comments I could make and that is that when it arrived the glass doors did come shattered and I wish the backing was a little sturdier than the typical cardboard. We had not planned on using the glass doors so I didn't even reach out to the company. Otherwise, we love this piece. It is sturdy and good quality. I love the colors too. We are very happy with this purchase!

Very good looking and sturdy TV stand
Very good looking and sturdy TV stand. The only issue we had was the shelves do not fit inside the glass doors. They will have to be trimmed down to fit. It does take several hours to assemble but is worth it. Very nice.

Best fireplace/console for the money!
Very pleased with cabinet + fireplace insert (sold separately). Arrived much faster than the âexpected delivery date.â Directions were easy and simple to follow with all screws, nuts, and bolts, etc. labeled for easy identification. Once put l together itâs very strong! Be careful of the front fascia though as there are some sliding parts of wood when assembling, and the tight fit can make the wood crack in areas; not noticeable once fully put together. Fireplace insert is an additional added feature for the middle, otherwise it would be a regular shelf. Would recommend to anyone, even those whom have never put furniture together before.

We absolutely love it!
I am in awe of this tv center! We absolutely love it !! It looks so beautiful in our living room and has definitely improved the look in the room. I couldn't be happier with this purchase an s I'm glad I chose this one. My husband said he feel so like a rich man lol. This was a very heavy box to carry and lots of pieces. It wasn't complicated to put together but it sure took a lot of time esp with a toddler who wanted to be a part of it all. I was worried there would be damage from shipping or holes not lining up but we had no problems whatsoever!! It even arrived a week earlier!

But the instructions are fun and really well done
This one is a beast to put together. But the instructions are fun and really well done. Even though it's not really the rustic wood the whole way through, it looks very authentic. Very sturdy. It looks slightly darker than pictured in the photo. My only complaint is that I wish there was a little more lateral support. The horizontal shelves are held together with a cam/anchor combo. It would be nice to have something that pulls it together tighter.

Looks nice, but horrible assembly design. Save your time and money.
I've put together lots of budget furniture without problems over the years, and Sauder has made some terrible construction design decisions that make this (and the lift coffee table) a waste of your time and money. I've put together 8 pieces of furniture in the past 2 weeks related to a move and the only issues I've had (besides IKEA using screws that strip easily) are with these Dakota pieces. Here are the major issues I had before deciding to return1) The thin backing that comes with a lot of furniture is required to be attached prior to standing upright, which means it's being relied on for support. If you're at all familiar with how flimsy these backing boards can be, it should be a little alarming. The instructions even say "Caution: Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse"It's bad design if it can't stand on its own with out a thin board that bends significantly just with gravity.2) Another infuriating flaw was the hidden Cam locks, which are these twist-lock things [...]. Lots of furniture manufacturers use them and they're usually pretty solid and easy to use. The particular cam bolts used in this are not screwed into the other side, rather dropped in a pre-drilled hole. When you turn the cam with a screwdriver, the plastic around the bolt expands within the hole, which is supposed to keep them together (vs just screwing it into one side and the cam locking the other side when turned). It doesn't. When I turned the unit upright per the instructions, one of the cam bolts slipped out and the plastic having 'expanded' cannot retract to thread the hole again. That means there's bent plastic causing a gap where there shouldn't be. You pretty much cannot move the furniture once assembled for risk of one of these slipping out.I at least got a few days of use with my coffee table before they slipped out when I tried to move it onto an area rug.3) They use a notching system to slide the horizontal edging (the piece in the middle just above just above the floor). This would be a smart design choice with better quality materials, but the bigger chunks of wood in the particle board cause the notching to be lumpy and a bump wound up splitting one of the boards. I contacted Sauder and they did send out a replacement part right away which was nice, but it was frustrating to have the unit unfinished for several days. Just use nails or a hidden cam.4) The side shelves DON'T EVEN FIT IN THE CABINETS. They stick out about 1/4" or so which means they can't fit between the door and the backing without being at an angle. The assembly design is bad enough to ruin what would be a nice piece of budget furniture. Waste of time and money.
