Nice big pot!!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my Alocasia Regal Shield that grows like crazy. I needed a big self watering pot and choose this since it has handles on it so it’s really easy to pull the plant out of the cache pot (it can be so hard when you have a pot that doesn’t have anywhere to grab to pull out the plant) making it functional. I definitely thought I needed a bigger pot than I did lol, but I just potted the plant lower in the pot and it’s doing great!! It’s been in the pot for about a month and has put out 2 new leaves on each plant in it. I have topped off the water a couple times when walking by it, but it’s never ran out of water since the reservoir holds a lot.Once it needs more room for its roots, I’m just going to take the plant out and put a layer of semi hydro and then plop the plant back in. I think I can get away with doing this a couple times so I can keep the plant in this same pot for at least 2-3 years making it worth the price for sure!I love the way this plant looks against the white pot too, so pretty!

Perfect for my monstera

I love that the plant can be removed from the pot for easy bottom watering. It has a nice modern look and is super easy to keep my plant healthy and happy. It's the perfect size for my monstera.

Very Solid Planter

This planter has many great features that make it a good choice. The entire thing is made of very thick, sturdy plastic and feels very durable. The outer pot is a glossy white with a lower area that works as both drainage and a water reservoir when the appropriate holes are drilled. There is a window to view water level in the reservoir. The removable inner pot is just as sturdy, with drain holes, handles and a cotton (?) wick that can be positioned to dip into the lower reservoir. The handles provide a more than adequate grip for what will be a fairly heavy pot. In addition, they snap-fit into the inner pot and can be easily removed if necessary. Some issues: Most of the drain holes on both of the pots I purchased were filled with plastic flash debris and needed to be cut/drilled clean. This is by no means a deal-breaker, but it did take time I'd have rather spent doing something else. I also would have liked an option for a white planter with a matching white inner pot. For the price, some colors should be available. Also minus one star for the price. As good as it is, $60 feels too high for this planter; $40-$45 seems more reasonable. In all, it's a nice-looking yet understated planter with some convenient features. Recommended.

Almost perfect

I bought a second set of these. I love them, the only annoyance is that there isn't a way to refill the pot from the top without taking out the insert.Even so, I still recommend the pots for the price, they are very large and looj great

Great!

Transplanted my growing elephant ears and umbrella plant into these self-watering larger pots. Put the pots on top of SAKSUN plant stands in our 3-season room. I think they look great and the plants seem to really like their new homes. At first, I was a bit peeved that only one water wick was included for each pot considering how inexpensive water wick rope is. Then I read the directions (!) that explained that the concept of a self-watering plant pot is that the roots will eventually grow through the holes in the bottom of the inner pot. So, would highly recommend choosing coir mat or pebbles or whatever to line the bottom of the inner pot that will hold the dirt above and still allow root growth through to the reservoir.

Perfect for pon

My Thai con was getting way too large for its previous 8” self watering planter, and I couldn’t find one that was a size in between, so I just got this one. Definitely a good choice. It’s slightly big, but works out well since my Thai is rapidly getting HUGE. I used lechuza pon, and it’s working well. The ONLY gripe I have with this is that it’s hard to lift up the whole thing to fill the reservoir with water, especially since the pon makes it SO heavy. It would be much easier with a second set of hands. I just struggle with it once every 3 weeks or so, and it’s not the end of the world. I’m super happy with this purchase.

Missing wigs

Just received my pots and was exited to transfer root bound Swiss cheese plants only to find out that the wigs/ropes were missing. Better quality control would be nice.

Sturdy But Do Not Use Self-Watering

I like the size and sturdiness of these planters, but the shape of the inner and outer pots means that water is trapped so a lot of condensation is built up. This really exacerbates fungus gnat issues and does not actually seem to be good at the self-watering function. I have since removed the ropes that are meant for self-watering to try to dry out the plant a little.
