Color:Phthalocyanine Blue (Red Shade) | Size:2-oz Tube Since developing the first water-based artist acrylic paints in 1955, Liquitex has focused on providing all of the tools needed by the professional artist. All Liquitex products are formulated by a unique team of chemists and artists. This combination allows us to make the most versatile ranges of intense, highly-loaded, permanent colors possible. Liquitex is the only acrylic paint brand to offer four uniquely different ranges of professional acrylic color to suit the needs of the artist. That in mind, range-specific handling characteristics are established so that each Liquitex paint feels just right – never too sticky or slippery. The low-odor acrylic resin base represents the latest in acrylic resin technology, offering increased open time and producing colors of great clarity. The paint films are highly flexible, durable, non-yellowing, UV resistant, water-resistant, and pH neutral when dry. All Liquitex Professional Colors can be intermixed with each other and Liquitex Mediums. Liquitex Heavy Body Artist Acrylic Paint, previously referred to as High Viscosity, has a thick consistency for traditional art techniques using brushes or knives as well as for experimental mixed media collage and printmaking applications. Impasto (thick) applications retain crisp brush stroke and knife marks. Good surface drag provides excellent handling and blending characteristics with increased open-working time. High pigment load produces rich brilliant permanent color. Visit our Liquitex Storefront for full product assortment.

Good paint.
Was a Golden user exclusively. Now I also use Liquitex and Myartscape acrylics in my work. If you work in acrylics a lot you know how expensive this medium is. I also bought two sizes of Masterson's Stay-Wet Palettes. Used correctly these palettes will greatly extend your workability time. Sounds like I'm a product promoter, huh? Just an artist that likes to save money.

Fine For Average Acrylic Painting Artist
The product is fine for student or average painting. There are both positive and negative points. First the positive; the colors are very close to what one would expect; with Liquitex having a substantial range of color choices. The negative; the regular base or heavy base require multiple coats on most surfaces to achieve a true color, meaning, it's going to take a number of coats of the paint to get the desired affects or true color. Perhaps this is good if blending colors or fading; but if you're looking for a fine line or have an area which requires a strong color; be prepared to use a lot of paint and multiple coats. Buy it again? Eh, I've found other products with a higher pigment content and about the same cost.

Great paint, super packaging
I enjoy 3 brands of professional acrylic paint, and this is one of them. I happily use Liquitex, Golden and Matisse professional /heavy body paint, but one advantage with Liquitex is its packaging. The cap is easy on and off, and doesn’t lend itself to gloppy paint stuck in the cap. And, if you’re very organized (me, not so much) there is a hole in the end of the tube which you could use to hang it up by.

Excellent product! Personally recomend!!!
As an artist, I use a ton of paint. Liquitex has always been a go-to paint for me. I was very pleased with this jar of paint, which was sealed under the cap. Upon removing the seal, it was filled completely to the top. I use white more than any other paint, and I will definitely be purchasing this jar again.

Excellent lovely gold color.
Used for my Oyster shell craft and it was lovely and smooth to work with and covered very well.

Nice white iridescent heavy body paint.
This is the good stuff for adding the iridescent shine, although it's a bit of white so it lightens the base color. But I've also been able to make my own metallic colors with this, a little of the graphite and the color I want.I'm a fan of heavy body paints and this does not disappoint. Itdoesn't make my paints too runny, though it can be thinned with a little water, which will add to the longevity of your paintI'll be looking to order a full size one next time.

Love these paints
Love these paints and they go a long way. So even though they're a bit more pricey for craft projects they require far fewer coats than do the regular crafting paints. For portraits and scenery they're excellent and mix well. My ONLY complaint is the packaging as they used to have stronger tubes and it was easier to determine the color from the packaging. I've had two tubes break at the top when twisting the cap off and I keep my covers and threads clean so no good reason for that to happen.

Great quality paint for beginner and advanced painters!
New to painting but I love Liquitex. It's a great brand, especially for beginners since they offer the "basic" paint tubes. The heavy body was on sale so I picked up this tube and love it. You can tell the difference between this and the basic tube. Still love the basic (I am new = not very good but improving!) but I will try and pick up a few of these tubes along the way as I improve.

Liquiex is my favourite brand for acrylic paint.
Liquitex is my favourite brand for acrylic paint. Important: study carefully the product description to know what you are buying. I personally only buy single pigment paints, and Liquitex is very good about documenting the pigment used and the characteristics of the pigment - transparency, lightfastness and series. Beware that prices can vary significantly, so check prices on a regular basis since there are sometimes good deals - saving approx. 30% of the recommended price.Otherwise: if you want your work to last and colours remain stable, stay away from cheap paints: they use cheap pigments which have poor stability and they also put less pigments in the mix, which ends up being a waste of money.

Excellent
I really like these Liquitex heavy bodied acrylics for their creamy texture and the easy-to-use tubes. They are usually slightly cheaper than other artist-quality brands and I find myself coming back to them again and again. The only slight criticism is that they do dry darker, but most brands do this to some extent. Good to be able to get this next day from Amazon when you’ve run out.

Best HBA white I've tried so far
Most whites are chalky and don't thin well... this one isn't. It's perfect thick and thin. Anything else to say? Not much really. Great white.

Average
Not great. Works ok with the knives but im not impressed for brushwork or mixing compared to W&N Pro heavy body. Not as creamy.
