Just didnt fit well for me. Still gets 5 star for being a Danner.

Great boots for a really low price. These boots are my favorite. I’ve had my old pair for over 5 years and the tread finally wore off. Got these to replace them. These boots are super durable, comfortable, waterproof and keep your feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They are a little heavy but that’s what makes them durable. Love the style and look!

i had original RAT USMC boots i regrated because I sold it but I bought this one exactly my 10 1/2 fits perfectly exactly looks original to me very soft very comfy

It is Sept 3, 2024 and I just returned from dove hunting in Central California. It was hot (100 deg f) and very dry (duh) but I did manage to walk through some irrigation ditches etc. These boots felt great. About 5 hrs in the am and another 4 hours in the pm. Feet feel great. I got 10W (did not have 9.5W) but in Danner I am usually 9.5W. Glad I took a chance. These are good boots.Update: Been wearing them everywhere - city, beaches, hills/rocky terrain hikes, and they are comfortable. I did not realize how good these would be. Next week I will take pheasant hunting and this will be marshy spots with long stretches of farmish fields, interrupted with irrigation ditches and creekbeds which may be dry or wet - we'll see . . . I just got a second pair as these are discontinued, a second pair is cheaper then getting these resoled by Danner!!!!UPDATE: 9/20/24 Just wore these for 5 hours pheasant hunting over dry fields, marshy irrigated fields, and a lot of uneven terrain, and they worked out great. Feet felt GREAT!!!If on the fence . . . give them a try!Update 3/31/2025 Wearing them a lot, all over, many diff terrains, and still going strong. I love these boots. Wore them pheasant hunting and totally trashed them, submerged in water/mud... cleaned up fine, hosed them out and sat them in the shade to dry . . .

Comfortable, light and supportive! These are great boots! I put off buying Danners for far too long!

I forgot how heavy these monsters were, but golly they do feel good on my dawgs. Great traction, great ankle support and don’t roast the tootsies

The most important was the sizing obviously. I always thought that my foot is normal, but I went ahead and bought the wide version of the surplus boot. Turns out the boot has to be not only wide but it is also one half size lower, perhaps if it were normal width the size could be normal too?. So I suppose you have try them on to fit. Once the proper size is established, the boot takes some days to brake in. I took an opportunity and wore boots on a 12 miles hike and then just wore them during the day here and there. They were obviously uncomfortable for a few days and as the blisters subsided and boot broke in, it started to be much much better. It is advisable to wear sock liners under regular sock to help with blisters. Now I am mostly using them for running. It takes several runs to get used to running in boots, after all they are 1 pound heavier than my Brooks snicker each. So as you can imagine if you ran 6 miles in snickers it would be unusual to do the same in these boots right off the bet, but nevertheless I kept on it and now I can run 6 miles in them boots just fine all be it slower. And they feel perfect on the dirt trail, on the pavement not so much though, so I only run on the trail in them. For the hack of it I walked in the creek bed for maybe 100 yards and they did not leak. Planning to use them for hunting, hiking running etc.

Very, very nice boot made by Danner. I am so happy with this pair, that I bought another pair.Shipping and handling by the seller is one of the smoothest I have experienced. Very fast! Shoe might run a little bit tight and I would indeed recommend half a size up. For me, they fit like a glove and I still have some millimeters left on the toes. So, that is allright for me. They might widen a little bit by walking too. I don't think they make resolable quality boots like this anymore. Get some while you can!Update:I recently received a second pair of these wonderfull boots. For people with doubts about sizing: The boot is tight in sizing, that is true. If size 11 is 29 cm, then the insole is 29 cm too. What worked for me is to remove the insole and put a half an insole (from the heel) instead. This results in just enough space at the toe section and makes your toes be able to move freely. But, again, this worked for me. Everybody's feet are different. If you would like to use the complete insole that comes with the boot, order half a size up.
