My original review was regarding the brand-new iron not working straight out of the box. It was replaced and it was inconvenient for the price, but I wanted to talk about the products when they work.My hair does not hold a curl very well. I used Babyliss for many years, but a year ago when I had to replace my Babyliss iron, I just didn't feel like paying the high price again. I tried other much less expensive irons and never could I get a curl to hold.When the less expensive iron started chipping after one year, I decided to go back to Babyliss. I found this deal with both the iron and blow dryer. Yes, my curl sticks like it did before. My guess is that this is a true titanium versus not full titanium with other irons.I am still rating this a 4 star for the inconvenience of a new iron not working and because they are very expensive.

My aunt is a cosmetologist and she swears by this flat iron. She’s had it for a decade now and it still works like brand new. It costs a bit but it will last longer than the cheap one. I’d rather buy this once instead of having to buy multiple in the new few years.
