Klein Tools Laser Distance Measure, Measures in Feet, Inches, Meters

This is a nice simple tool, adjustable to measure from either the front or the back of the device, and with a bright enough display and laser to use even in bright situations (outdoors in full sunlight can still be a bit of a glare challenge!) Since there's only one button it's important to read the manual to see how to adjust and control it - I've not doubt if it's a "daily driver" that would become second nature, but if you only use occasionally you might want to keep those instructions handy.Since it's fairly small I find the biggest challenge to accuracy is holding it steady and making sure you're measuring straight (it's easy to get yourself at a bit of an angle which will skew the measurements). If you're going to be making cabinets or something with a high degree of precision I wouldn't rely on this - but if you're trying to estimate materials, quickly map out a space, etc. this is a great and quick tool for that.

If you want to measure a room or a window - something like that, this is a great tool. and its ability to hold 3 readings is an advantage. Choice between ft & inches, or just inches is also good as some times it's easier to think in inches, like "what's half way across this 98" space?"It's rated for 1/16" accuracy, I believe, but that would require holding it dead still, and pushing the button to lock in a reading is enough to disturb the aim, which really isn't the tool's fault, so I still use a classic tape measure for a lot if things Rule #1 of carpentry applies - measure thrice, cut once. And this one isn't bright enough to use in daylight, more of an interior device.

This tool works perfectly and the batteries last long on it, it does measure up to 100 feet as stated but no more than that, the display is bright and easy to read with options to switch between inches, foot and inches and meters. It’s very light weight and I test it next to my tape measure and it is always spot on with the measurements. I’ve dropped it from my pouch a couple times not from too high up but it’s survived the fall multiple times, not too sure if it would survive from higher up tho, but pretty sturdy build quality

Works great, wish it was also a level so I know its level when shooting measurements.

I needed a small unit that was accurate, easy to carry and affordable. I took a chance on this unit and was not disappointed. Its convenient pocket clip is really nice. The display is easy to read. In the fact that shows me my last three measurements on this display is really helpful. I recommend this product.

It works, but not that easy to use and the display shows the dimensions in quite small font. If you don't use every day, you'll keep changing the measuring units when you simply want to measure something.

I wanted to use this at home and in a real estate practice. Around the house this worked well, but in an open office space near the distance maximums I had difficulty getting a measurement. I purchased a more expensive Bosch unit that does better, keeping the Klein as a good backup.
