This beast has helped me to fry up all sorts of stuff over the years (just over 4 years of use/ownership). It was an easy install on my burner frame, easy light and go, big size, and feels bullet proof! It has worked well and has FINALLY started to rust in the inside of the burner due to me leaving it out in the elements after use sometimes. This thing can be a flame throwing and get stuff burning fast and also can be a light flame for cooler temps but the flame/power control on the regulator is smooth and easy to control. I highly recommend and I am ordering a new one!

I use a turkey fryer to boil down maple syrup for a few weeks every year. The burner on this inexpensive turkey fryer started to burn yellow and resulted in significant blackening on the bottom of the pan. I adjusted to air vent to max, disassembled and cleaned the burner, but it didn't help. I replaced the burner with another inexpensive one, and this worked for a short period but again started to burn yellow. Bought this banjo burner on amazon. While not a direct replacement, I was able to modify the fryer a bit for it to fit. Mine didn't come with mounting screws, but I was able to buy for a couple bucks at my local hardware store. Ultimately, this burner worked great and didn't blacken my pot. It has a much higher BTU output, so I needed to be aware of how hot it was getting!

I cannot give this five stars until I install it and use it for five years. I currently use only charcoal grills as the common gas grills are short lived crap without replacement parts available. I am tired of cutting them up so I can dispose of them.This unit is a simple cast iron burner. I intent to install in an old Weber kettle grill. The Weber grills last forever, and it would be nice to have a gas grill for cooking one or two hamburgers. This looks like it will out live me. The air mix sheet metal valve is a little light weight but easily duplicated and replaceable. It's a project I hope to get done this summer.

I bought this to customize a Pizzacraft Pronto pizza oven so that I could get to the correct temperature to cook Neapolitan style pizzas. With some effort, it is working great! I do want to mention one thing about the regulator, the quality is fine but they furnish a rubber washer on the end of the hose that connects to the burner. You should not use the washer, this should be a metal to metal connection. That is how this connection was designed to work. If the washer cracks or breaks down ( and it eventually will with age and heat ) you will have a leak and that is a fire danger.
