5 Stars is for value - all the features for <$15! The metal is a thin gauge Will bend easily if hit but can otherwise be handled as needed without your hands denting into it. It's more like a coffee can than a soda can. Plastic may have the advantage there but as long as it's not abused this metal is going to hold its shape and shine much longer than the plastic, and its classic shape looks nicer to me than the boxy plastic ones. Medium size is perfect for us. Plenty of pre-drilled holes to accommodate almost any install design and on its Amazon web page they provide a nice detailed diagram with dimensions - you can start designing and building your base while it's shipping. Flag is snug, well attached, works great. We'll have to see how well the paint holds up but this looks like an easy one to refinish and paint over when the time comes. I'm expecting 20 years out of this mailbox.The door works great but you may have to adjust the little clasp tag that holds it shut. Mine arrived too tight, Be careful as you bend this up or down since the metal door it's attached to is quite thin and could bend and show on the front of the door)Also, the seams where base meets the walls had some separation there, a little too opened for me. Maybe that's so any water that ever got in there were drain out, but these gaps were a little big. I fixed it by simply clamping the edges together and then screwed them together with one 1/2" metal tap screw, one on each side. Big improvement.For its size, construction, ease of installing, appearance, and durability, there's not a better box out there for the price.

I think Gilbralter got the message from its customers that shipping this mailbox just in the box it comes in, is not enough to survive a USPS or UPS trip. I read a lot of reviews that people were receiving their boxes damaged and had to return them. Mine came to me inside the original box packed inside an Amazon box with large bubble wrapping. I'm happy to report it arrived safe and sound.I also read a review (or two) about the door not staying closed. Mine had the same issue, but it's a very simple fix. With a pair of pliers, GENTLY put some downward pressure on the topside of the door. Too much pressure and the door will be difficult to close & open. It only takes a minute or two to get it right!Installation was a breeze. I simply removed the screws from my old mailbox, and reused them to install this one. It took me a total of about 5 minutes to do.This box is sturdy enough to withstand the elements and will last for years. It's a very good value!

Es un poco más grande de lo que pensé, diría que en vez de tamaño estándar es mediano, debería haber uno un poco más pequeño (yo no lo encontré cuando estaba por comparar el buzón), pero aún así es bastante bueno.La calidad de materiales es buena, está bien hecho y no se ve ni se siente corriente al tacto.El color es bonito y luce bien, llegó en 2 días a Guadalajara, México.Solo falta su poste para instalarlo, en Amazon están bastante caros para como se lee que están hechos así que lo mandaré a hacer con un herrero cercano a mi domicilio para darle el grosor más adecuado e instalarlo fuera de mi domicilio.Buena compra!

Great product, very happy!

The mailbox is to replace our rural box. It is larger than my previous box, so it should be able to handle all my mail (including the "junk mail". It appears to be made of good material and hopefully it lasts for many years. Overall, very pleased.

Tiene muy buen espacio, es perfecto para recibir paquetes. El material es de calidad. No viene con el pedestal, yo lo mandé a hacer con un herrero y me salió más barato que el que venden de las misma marca. Me encantó.
