Works great! Was easy to pair with my vehicle
Very happy I purchased this. My car did not come with one when I bought it but I knew because of the year of my vehicle that it should have one. This one came fast and with instructions to a website that would give you the info you needed to install. Took me 10 minutes to have it working. Love it

Did not work
This did not work for my Montero Sport. The instructions that are included are not correct for my vehicle. I luckily found a helpful YouTube video. My car will go into programming mode by cycling the locks, but this fob does nothing. I even tried replacing the fob battery.

Online instructions were very clear, and it worked the first try. Great!

Worked as advertised
Although on the website address included in a card with the fob, it did not have have the instructions to correctly program the fob, it just said "contact locksmith", I did managed to find the correct instructions with a little online searching. The process is a little cumbersome and weird, but I managed to program the new fob and my existing one to a 2006 Montero/Pajero. The process requires to insert a jumper wire into a connector under the dash, push 6 times the hazzard light switch (or turn it on/off 3 times, whichever way you want to see it), and then just push the buttons on the fob, all in rapid succession.

Difficult to program
Was difficult to program. Ended up taking the components out of my old fob and placing it in the shell of this one.

Programming instructions are for a Montero & don't work for Montero Sport
I really wish these "automotive" companies would get their models straight. Yet again, it seems another company has decided that the Montero Sport is just a trim level of the Montero, when in fact it's an entirely different vehicle.I found some programming instructions elsewhere for the Montero Sport that this is supposed to work with (even the model number matches the existing, dog chewed one), but the vehicle just doesn't enter programming mode no matter how many times we tried either procedure. Might try a dealer, but then I've got to pay $80 to program something that was supposed to be user-programmable, when I could have just gotten 2, with programming, for $99 from the dealer. Disappointing...
