Simplicity AA 10-18 (UK) /36-44 (EU) Sewing Pattern 2247 Misses and Plus Amazing Fit Dresses,White

I have always liked simplicity patterns because they are so, erm, simple. This is the first 'amazing fit' pattern I have used. It is also the first dress I have made. This pattern takes the easy to follow simple instructions to another level. I felt like following this pattern has really increased my confidence and taught me skills that I can use in future projects.First of all you are guided gently through measuring yourself and adjusting the pattern to suit. The sewing instructions have plenty of illustrations and a step by step guide to adjusting the fit as you go along. It is a bit like having a helpful auntie looking over your shoulder and giving handy tips at just the right moment. I didn't go wrong once, which is a real achievement for me. The dress itself is very pretty, the shape is easy to wear and can be a relaxed sundress or a more formal party dress, depending on the fabric selected. there are a couple of styling and sleeve length options to chose from.I was really happy with the fit of my finished dress and quite impressed with my self. I will use this pattern again for sure.

Service was good and I am pleased with the pattern HOWEVER it arrived with the label stuck directly over the front of the pattern there by obscuring any detail and making it difficult to reference what exactly is in the package for future use.

I have made 2 dresses with this pattern and they look lovely. Did not need much adjusting. Please take a tip:- do not release the pattern from the cut fabric until needed to sew as it is crucial the 8 panels are in the exact position or the dress becomes unshapely. Leaving the pattern on makes it much easier to sew.

I'm looking forward to making this dress but, please note - the product page says it's UK 10-18. It's actually US 10-18. Just be wary of which size you cut out 😉

Very easy to use. This is the best & easiest pattern I’ve used for a great fit. I am only 5 ft tall so every part of a pattern needs changing now I have a perfect fit & didn’t need to use a zip. Will definitely be used again & again. Wish I had purchased when it first came out.

First of all my heart sank when I saw how many pieces there were, but I found that many didn't apply to me, as there are different pieces for different bust fittings.I followed the instructions to baste the seams that involved the fitting, but when you alter a seam, particularly to let it out, you're left with a line of stitching holes that show. I'm hoping that washing the garment before wear will relax these.Otherwise the style is good and I look forward to wearing it.

Difficile de trouver des patrons pour la couture dans les grands magasins comme autrefois. On trouve moins de boutiques de tissus à la verge et accessoires. J'ai trouvé génial de choisir un patron Simplicity sur amazon et le faire livrer rapidement. C'est exactement ce que je cherchais et j'en suis satisfaite.
