Master Box US Soldiers Patrolling Vietnam (4 and Woman) Figure Model Building Kits (1:35 Scale)

I bought this kit for the painting on the box it came in. It's probably the most realistic commercial artwork about the war I've ever seen. It brings back the strong but mixed feelings I have about the two years I served in the Vietnam War. I personally experienced the scene in the painting more than once. I was in the 1st Cav Division like the soldiers in the painting. While on patrol in the hamlets and paddy fields we would encounter an old farmer lady on a narrow pathway. More often then not they were ready to josh around with us. I spoke a little Vietnamese, and the GIs were curious. They would laugh at her wrinkled smile, and try out the load she was carrying and say it was too heavy for us giant Americans, how could she be so small ("ti-ti lam" in pidgin Vietnamese). I translated and the old lady would laugh. When I asked her where the local VC were, she would laugh harder and say "How could I know that?!" We would walk on hoping we wouldn't run into any of those VC. We were young, and now we had another story that could be told when we got home, a story of exotic adventure, like our fathers and uncles told us about their war, when we were kids.I'm also something of a model-builder. I haven't tried to assemble or paint the little figures yet (and I probably won't), but I'm very impressed with their detail. Whoever created the box art and the little figures really put their heart into it. I was highly impressed.

This was my first masterbox kit. I liked it so much a bought another copy, and then bought several more different kits of different genres. Done very well, different and highly useable figures.

this was one of the first fihure sets i have worked on. normally do detail space models try it you'll like it!

This was my first time buying from Master Box and I was very happy with the product 10/10 will buy from them again
