Pouring water all over the floor
It’s pouring water all over the floor and the customer service won’t help me or explain what they mean that Inhave tit she the entire unit apart. I just received this item this week. I shouldn’t have to do maintenance and buy tools out of the box.

Good product!!
This cooler is the perfect size for our dog pen in the garage. We are in hot AZ and our dog stays completely comfortable with it well over 109 degrees outside. We keep the garage door open about 3 ft.

Good cooling, quiet, high-tech, leaks with the media cover on
I like the cooling of the Apex 700. It's also much quieter than my old evaporative cooler. I also like the fact that the intake and cooling vent are both on the front - which means it can be put in a corner without worrying about airflow. The hose intake is also on the back of the unit and out of the way. The unit is WiFi/app controllable, and can send status notifications to your phone. It was giving me some erroneous complaints about potential for overfilling for a few days, but those have gone away. The issue I've had with it - and almost sent it back over - is that it was leaking a significant amount of water. When I diagnosed the problem, I found that the cover for the evaporative media touches the media. When water gets to the front of the media, it wicks on over to that cover, then the path of least resistance for that water is to channel out of the unit and down onto the ground (or in my case, my patio's concrete slab). I don't know why the designers thought it was a good idea to have that front cover touch the cooling media that can have water on it, and not provide a path of least resistance for the water to wick back down into the unit rather than out onto the ground. Removing the cover over the evaporative media fixes the problem, but I think it would also work to space the cover out so it doesn't touch the media, cut the cover back, or add some kind of lip that extends down from the bottom of the grille that would wick the water down that way and back into the reservoir rather than out and onto the ground.

Spend money elsewhere - this didn’t last long.
This thing worked for about 6 months before the mechanism that tells the cooler if the water is too high broke. Since then I have not been able to maintain a constant flow of cold water to it and as a consequence, it acts like a large fan. Where you connect, the hose also broke so water pours out and onto the surrounding floor or area. I also purchased the 2000 model which is still working fine except for where the hose connects. That, just like on this model, is broken. There are some Pros: it is easy to use. It’s nice to use an app to turn it on and off and the noise is not extremely high for a large fan.

Excellent Evaporative Cooler
The product works very well. It drops the temperature in our barn over 10 degrees. The auto start up and shut down is very effective. Moves lots of air and throws a wide swath!

Don’t buy this.
Owned it for about a month and now it leaks everywhere. And I have a small 1 bedroom apartment and it still doesn’t cool the place down lower than 5 degrees. Do not recommend. Not worth the money. Clunky and makes the apartment humid when it shuts off (cuz the water runs out from leaking all over my floor) and it’s loud. Very loud.

Not For Florida!!!!!
If your in Fla.......... I don't care what part of Fla.........in the summer..... This is simply an incredibly over priced FAN, Thats all. The fans' reach and cooling capability is absolutely exaggerated by the manufacturer! Unless your sitting rite in front of it (give it a 20' window), it does NOT meet their 15*F differential, thats a fact!! Big mistake, tried to buy American and once again..................Greed killed it! I wish I could return it but I cant even imagine the pushback I would receive for trying! Glorified Fan.......Im out!
