Great workmanship for a great price.
I've been searching for a brief case for a long time. This one is well made, has good division of space, and is attractive. I wanted a distressed look, because it is less likely to show scratches. I also like the "rugged" look. The price is great for such workmanship. It is also big enough to allow a large laptop computer (17 in wide). Great item!

One heck of a nice bag
I was looking for a bag for my daily commute that could hold my 17"+ work laptop - and charger brick and mouse - when necessary. I know that a backpack is more ergonomic for large loads, but they make my back sweat on warmer days, so I opted to try a messenger bag instead. This bag is priced similarly to a very nicely-featured higher-end nylon bag, but is instead made of a beautiful natural-toned leather. When it arrived, it had only a very subtle leather smell, not chemically and not profound. The interior is a gorgeous muted green canvas. The leather is nice enough to work with a suit, but casual and worn enough to not worry about it taking a beating on a commute. The interior consists of a massive compartment big enough to hold my beastly work laptop with room to spare. But that's not all. It also contains two interior zippered compartments, and several pockets of various sizes, and places for pens. Outside of this primary compartment is a smaller leather compartment out front, which still exists under the main flap. On the inboard side (when wearing the bag) there is a zippered compartment that is accessible without having to open the bag flap.To give you an idea of what this bag can hold, on my most laden day so far, I had my work laptop in the center compartment (a 17" Dell Precision M6800), the charger brick and wireless mouse in one of the interior secondary compartments, my sketchbook in another interior compartment, my folded-up Sony on-ear headphones and a knit cap in the front leather compartment, and a large-print library book in the exterior zippered compartment. There was still a considerable amount of room to spare. While I'm not a clothing or upholstery expert, I am an engineer, so I notice the quality of the materials and craftsmanship. This bag is double- and triple-riveted in the locations that bear the weight, in addition to being sewn. The leather is pliable but not floppy, and I'm sure will soften in time. That said, the bag stands upright and holds its shape nicely under all conditions I have stood it in so far. The compartments are also pleated, so they can expand to suit their contents. The metal all seems to be bronze and very hard. I don't see any of this failing in the future.Regarding a few of the negatives that people mention about this bag:--the buckles in front are real buckled straps. If you need rapid access to the contents of the primary compartments, this can be a pain. However, I knew this when I purchased the bag, and the inboard zippered exterior compartment can be used for items you need easy access to, without being susceptible to theft. The buckles are secure and seem very durable. I am considering paying someone (a tailor or shoe-repair person, perhaps) to add a few snaps to the main flap, so that I can improve the convenience of accessing the interior en-route to my destination. Given the quality of this bag against the price, it may be worth the money to have an expert customize it for me in this minor sense. I'll update the review, should I decide to go this route.--the padded strap cushion does not surround the buckle. I haven't needed the pad to be in this location, as I tend to wear the bag slightly cockeyed (angled instead of horizontal), and the strap at its shortest setting. It might be an issue for some people, but I haven't been bothered by it. Given that the strap is two halves that buckle together, a different (or modified) pad could be used instead, if so desired.--size. This bag is a huge bag. If I didn't have such a colossal laptop for work, I may have returned this for the 16" or 14" version, but the extra size means extra capacity for whatever else I feel like taking to/from work. I can fit LPs and a sweater in my bag, which is awesome. I really don't feel awkward with this bag, though, despite not being a large guy.--strap is not removable. While this can be an issue for some people, I find that I use the strap almost all of the time, and that when set at the smallest setting, does not hang far below the bag when carried by the handle.I have only had this bag for about 3 weeks, and will update the review as time goes on. But when I first examined the bag I was very impressed with the construction and in the personal touch of the enclosed care guide and thank you note. After interacting with this bag on my commute, I am so far very satisfied with my purchase and feel like I made the right choice. At a hair over a hundred bucks, this is not a cheap bag, but also not one of the more expensive ones. But if you compare it to other leather bags of this size, I think you'll find that it's very reasonably priced and very VERY well-made. You can easily double the price by throwing on a designer name, lose half of the compartments, and still not feel cheated. While not made in the USA, it is made in India by people that clearly know what they are doing, and take pride in the product.Buy this bag, or buy its smaller cousins. If you commute or carry around a lot of crap, this is well worth the investment.

Beautiful Bag with a couple of Oversights
Recently purchased this bag in the 18 inch size and am fairly impressed by the design. The compartments and interior have a very traditional sort of feel and design while maintaining a modern look.As someone who is 5'8" tall and 170 pounds, the bag in the 18 inch width feels almost too wide, compared to messenger bags made from cloth. This may be due in part to it being a leather bag, and my not having broken it in yet though. So you mileage may vary in that regard. The shoulder strap is a mixed bag. The strap itself matches well with the bag and the shoulder pad itself feels supple. However, the design of the strap is a bit concerning.. I agree with another review that the strap doesn't quite shorten enough for people of average height/weight or lower. Again, this may have to do with the bag not being broken in yet..But what I can say for certain is: the shoulder pad does not accommodate for across the body style. If the shoulder strap is shortened, the pad cannot go over/around the buckle. I found a simple but inelegant work around by slipping the shoulder pad through the rings to the underside of the strap itself. But this is still a glaring oversight that I believe can be fixed in future bags, should the company decide to accommodate for it in the future.Overall, as splurge first purchase from Komal, I still think this bag was a worthwhile purchase and I look forward to seeing how it feels in the future as I break it in. I hope those review can help future purchasers (and perhaps the company) down the road, whoever reads this.

Great bag
It will Fit any size Laptop, it will fit 4 Laptops, there are Lots of inside Pockets which was Surprising to Me , I bought the Bigger version as a overnight bag , or something just for Vacations to fit Everything I need , The Material is Tough and appears to be Leather, it does have two large zipper Compartments , a strong carrying handle , I haven't tried the leather shoulder strap yet, but it seems to be a Pretty Solid Bag so far , I spent 2 weeks on Amazon looking for the best one for my budget

Awesome Bag
Amazing bag. I have ordered and returned at least 5 bags due to too small, cheap looking. I am completely satisfied with this purchase and have colleagues fascinated with my bag and are interested in one themselves.
