Reliable and quiet

Great pump. Operated effectively for 7 years. Retired it for a Liberty. Regret that. Stick with Wagner.

Lasted 12+ years

I installed the pump 12 years ago and it still does it's job. I have been thinking about getting another to have on hand. Recently I installed a sump alarm and I have a moisture alarm on the floor, to let me know if the pump has stopped working.

Works well

Have had this for several months and seems to be working great. I live in a wet area and this runs several times daily, its also very quiet. And was super easy to install.

Heavy duty and well built. Been in service for a year with no issues. Pumps quickly.

I and my bf Love it but...

It is a bit loud, but I’m sure it has to do with the fact that my bed andbedframe are on the ground and the pump is directly below me. I had my boyfriend install it for me. He said it was extremely easy, he is very impressed with the pump. I spent the extra money hoping it would be quiet because my pump is in my basement directly under my bed. So I can hear it very well. All the other pumps I purchased were SOOOO unbelievably loud. It would wake my son up form his sleep. I couldn’t have that happening. So he said this was the quietest pump that there is out there. So I obviously dished out the extra money for it. It runs very well and efficiently. But it does still make noise. He said that it is very quiet but I am being picky and that it is going to make noise no matter what. But it is the quietest of all the pumps I used. It works very well also. I just wish it were a bit more quiet... I can hear it right through my pillow through my bed frame and my bed is on the ground because of how my bed frame is set up. It’s ground level. That doesn’t help with the noise. Hope this helps anyone’s decision about this pump.My bf knows his stuff! he’s great with that kind of stuff so if he loves it then I think anyone would love it!

Getting a Real Test This Year

The media could not be loaded. Our area has had near record rainfall this Spring and our condo seems to be sitting on a spring. The pump cycles almost five times a minute after a rain for a day or two. That is one nit that the water level only raises a couple of inches before triggering the float switch - wish it was 5 or 6 inches. The pump is working well and after one four inch rain there was so much water coming into the sump that the pump stayed on contniuously for half a day. See the video. There is a battery backup in the sump also that did help a little when this occurred. I will add to this post later if this endurance test goes south for any reason.

Awesome Value

I get a lot of water in my sump pit. I mean a LOT. I replace my sump pump every 2 years as cheap insurance, and I use a Basement Watchdog battery-powered backup as a fail-safe.I've had this pump for 18 months now. Last night it rained so hard and so long that this pump was only idle for 10 seconds between cycles. For hours. Water was draining into my sump pit so fast that if this pump had failed or if the power had gone out, my Basement Watchdog backup pump could not have pumped the water out fast enough to keep up by itself. (I have a gas generator nearby and a third pump (a smaller utility pump with a garden hose attachment) that I keep as an absolute last resort and fortunately haven't needed to use yet.) This kind of rain happens a couple times a year. And this pump dealt with it and never complained. I'm not going to say it wasn't a stressful night nonetheless, but you get my point. This pump has run for thousands and thousands of cycles over the past 18 months and it's handled all of it.The only thing I don't like is the style of float switch on this pump. I prefer tether switches because they're adjustable, so you can let the water level get higher and have the pump run longer. This would minimize the amount of back-flow that drains back into your pit every time the pump stops. There's no way to add a third-party tether switch either, because the built-in switch is hardwired into the unit's power circuit, rather than using a piggyback cord as I prefer. Oh well; for what this costs, I'm okay with it and I'm not going to take off a star for something I knew about when I bought the pump.Great deal for what this is.
