Silt build up will also occur over a significantly longer period. How does the system work? Rainwater lands on the roof and driveway of your property and is drained by roof down pipes and driveway gullies to underground drainage pipes. These pipes then convey the water to the soak away crates. Once inside the crates, the water then drains into the subsoil.
