Nice gift item.

Over the years, I have gotten several thousand in Star K jewelry, and this is the first time I've ever been disappointed with something I bought from them. I have this specific necklace in 14 different gemstones, including all the different opal variations (including some no longer available). However, the red opal one I just received does NOT look red and does NOT look anything like the product pic- look at the attached pic for comparison, product pic on left and a pic of what I got on the right. I own a LOT of opal and fire opal jewelry in pretty much every color possible, including red, and this just isn't a red opal. It seems like more a generic multi-color, or a black fire opal, if anything. The sad part is I bought THREE of this red opal pendant, intending to turn two into matching earrings (they don't have any earrings for quite a few of their gemstone pendants, including at least four of the opals, including the red, yellow, dark pink, and dark blue). Both of the two in the order I just received look like this. I wear alot of dark red, so I'm very disappointed that this pendant doesn't look anything like its pic. It's still pretty, though, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. But a head's up for everyone- it simply does NOT look remotely as depicted.

I bought this as a supplementary gift for my girlfriend on Valentine's day. I had originally planned to get her a second Pandora charm but after buying a first I decided I'm never going to buy their junk again. And that's what their charms amount to is junk - as an example I looked at an elephant and a heart birthstone charm. The elephant had horrible definition to the picture and the garnet birthstone would have been labeled topaz by any other company - the amethyst leaned pink.Anyway, I saw this had great ratings and wanted something in the Pandora charm category. I figured Amazon has a great return policy if this is junk.It arrived quickly - as expected - and while the actual item packaging was a bit much (drawstring cloth pouch holding a small box, holding the charm and necklace) it did give a nice feel to it.The charm itself has a simulated diamond and amethyst and man they are vibrant and sparkling! The necklace looked a bit small though, but it fit around my girlfriend's neck nicely, she's a petite size though. The charm is a bit small, but it looks nice around her neck where it sits just around the collarbone. She absolutely loves it and put it on immediately.I haven't tried or bought any other products from Star K, but after this transaction they are going to be my first and only stop for affordable and attractive jewelry.

This is a great item for a young girl. It is on the small side, and not really appropriate for a grown woman or even an older teenager (except perhaps from a cash-poor boyfriend.) I got this as a father-daughter dance present, and my daughter loved it and really treasures it. If you are interested in this, put it in your cart and watch the price. My wife suggested that I not buy my daughter anything, but when I went to remove the item from my cart the price had dropped by 60%... so I went ahead a bought it. The price currently is where I had originally added it to my cart, so it would appear I managed to catch a real sale. At the $30 price point: still a value but I would hesitate unless the immediate need was great.

Bought this as a birthday present surprise for my girlfriend. I'd been waiting to buy her jewelry because I hadn't found anything that caught my eye. This did, and I went ahead and took a chance on it.This peice is gorgeous. I did not have high expectations for it initially, as I would usually prefer to see the jewelry hands on before I purchase it. When it came, and I opened the box to see what exactly I got, I got extremely excited. I ended up taking pictures of it and showing it to my sister and a few of my female friends, all of whom became excited about it as well. It's a simply stunning necklace. I won't even say 'for the price', because I think any woman would be thrilled to have this. Just because the price happens to be low, this necklace is NOT 'cheap'.Stone color and cut are great, setting works very well with it. The chain is probably the least impressive element, but it definitely doesn't detract from the necklace.And, of course, most importantly-- She loves it, and wears it everywhere. I have no doubt that it is one of her favorite pieces of jewelry in her collection now. Would definitely recommend this product to any other guy looking for something really special to give to someone in his life.

My wife loves sapphires and silver, so I figured this was a no-brainer for a Christmas gift. I bought one, gave it a brief examination without actually removing it from the little blue box, and wrapped it. Come Christmas morning, my assumption paid off: the moment she laid eyes on it, she was elated. However, when she went to try it on, we found that the latch was broken, rendering the necklace unwearable.I first contacted the seller, [...], who said there was nothing they could do since the order was fulfilled by Amazon. On the Amazon.com return page, I found that this item could only be returned for a cash refund rather than a replacement since it came from a third-party seller. Kinda hokey if you ask me, but I guess that's how its done.In the end, I got the refund and ordered a second necklace, which my wife is wearing as we speak. Other than the ordeal that took place over three days, we're satisfied with our purchase.

Purchased for my girls for Valentine's Day. It was perfect. Nice piece of jewelry and sent quickly from NY. They were a big hit and I wouldn't hesitate buying from this seller again.

The packaging is amazing. There is a fabric bag with a ribboned box inside, which then has the actual jewelry box inside which looks kind of like a small treasure chest. Inside this box is where the necklace is, packed in such a way that it will not move around and get damaged -- and it even has dehumidifier beads inside. It all looks very nice. The necklace itself is quite nice too, but the gem (blue topaz in my case) simply doesn't shine like the picture and appears slightly cheap, plastic-y, up close. It doesn't catch light as one would like and as the picture suggests. Other than the gem, everything is perfect -- but the gem is kind of the centerpiece of the whole thing... 4 stars -- good, but you can find better if you prioritize the jewelry over the packaging.

Beautiful and delicate, great look and quality. Bought as a gift and it came in a very nice packaging.
