5.11 Tactical EDC PL 1AAA Flashlight, 23m Beam Distance, IPX-4 Water Resistance, Style 53381

Great Light! Now 5.11 has an edc flashlight worthy of its name. I've used 5.11 products since they were Royal Robbins and they were always good quality. The exception was the 5.11 TMT PL edc light that I bought years ago-- it was a waste. After that I used and the Streamlight microstream. I'm pleased to have a 5.11 in my pocket again. It can be a lawman's best friend, believe me.

Use on my duty uniform. Clips to your front pocket or on your shoulder lapel. Works great at night when writing citations or viewing drivers info. Just the right amount of light for viewing information without illuminate yourself. Easy end cap push button.

Close to perfect for an Every Day Carry (EDC) flashlight and I carry one every day. In fact I use it several times a day. The rubber cover over the endcap switch wore out over time and use and I’m not sure that can be rectified. Buy two!

I had high hopes that this would replace my streamlight microstream. On paper this is superior. It’s smaller, made of good materials, easy tail cap activation and not rechargeable (which I like). 55 lumens isn’t extremely bright but it gets the job done. HOWEVER after a few months I’ve began to have battery drain issues. I can’t in good faith recommend this.

I don't need a flashlight often, but when I do this is the perfect flashlight to have. It easily fits into the small pocket of my jeans so it's readily available. It's plenty bright for what I need. Which is usually looking at parts in a car or making sure I don't trip over things in the dark. It's nice being able to half press the button when I just need light for a few seconds. The battery lasts a decent amount of time. Probably not something that you would use for extended periods of time but a pack of batteries will last you a year or more if you use it in short bursts.The pocket clip breaks really easy and the rubber on the button will fall off after a while, but it will survive a few trips through the washer and dryer. Never had any problems with dropping it. And I drop it nearly every time I use it.I would rate it higher if the clip and button were more durable. This is actually a replacement for my last one because of the aforementioned problems. It's hard to find the replacement parts.
